Precat deletes installed!!
Just got back from installing the precat deletes and the RV6 race pipe (non-res)... DAMN my Comptech catback ain't tame no more! Haha
Quick observations:
Super loud in 1st a low-mid RPMs... no drone in 5th (cruising)... pulls much harder at WOT (3rd)... doesn't smell bad, even at stop lights/signs... don't feel a lose of torque (like some experienced)...
Can't wait for the ECU to settle.... then it'll be time to dyno.
Man my exhaust sounds pretty good now. Should've gotten a sound clip or something.
All I can say is 1) install is a BIIIIIIITCH and my car is almost no rust 2) great mod 3) I can't imagine what a Greddy Evo2 sounds like with this. No wonder cops pull you guys over
Thanks Richie!

Congrats man! I've heard this is a great mod I just don't think I can do catless. We will have to see.
Besides louder, did this make the exhaust sound at all "ricey" or "buzzy?" Glad to hear no torque loss thus far. After the ECU relearns everything it's going to run even better. There is a noticeable difference in each gear? If so, that's pretty damn good!

Um we heard a TINY rasp when I let go of WOT and a small backfire. Haha
I haven't heard it the exhaust from the outside yet but my friend said its much deeper now... nothing ricey or buzzy. Pretty throaty...
Can't wait for my cold start tomorrow morning!
I have a 5AT so... I just did WOT in 2nd and 3rd. 5th, like I mentioned before has no drone. I'll see how things go tomorrow.

JM, can you upload some videos?
I'll be having same sort of set up soon and want to get a feel of what to expect , also list your set up I know that you have CT cat back as well.

My set up is: RV6 deletes -> j pipe -> race pipe -> CT catback exhaust
How does one back fire on purpose?
Hahaha correcto.
I didn't get any rasp this morning driving to work.
Anyway, 30 miles since installation and no CEL yet

Hell yeah!
PM Richie V6 (who's an official AZ vendor now!) and he can give you the details.
His stock is low so you guys better act quick!
Heres a pretty boring video I recorded on my way to work.
Inside the cabin... 56F outside... nothing crazy. Excuse the condensation on my phone and the fast signal blinkers
Things to note though... no drone!

No its not the backfire that does any damage
Its the bounce off the safety cutoff that's bad
If you bang redline you backfire, the safety cutoff at 4500 rpms is a preset redline in neutral so braniacs don't vtec while in neutral

Here are 2 more videos. Quality isn't great but you kinda get the picture.
No WOT since I was driving in my apartment complex.

Not too shabby for a CT eh?

Backfiring is always there, just muffled by the cats when stock.
If you want a nice burble, as you're coasting down from say 4,000rpm, barely touch the gas pedal, the least amount you can, let off, and repeat.
I have to say it's pretty cool driving my turbo car obviously with no cats, when I let off the gas, many times it gets a tiny backfire but it shoots a pretty decent sized flame out of both tailpipes. If only the TL had a traditional TPS sensor you can mis-adjust it on purpose to get this effect.
