Possible to chip an 08 TL-S?

I drive a brand new 08 TL-S. Although the car is pretty fast I think I've got the sickness that many of you share for some more gain now

I've been thinking about chipping the car but I'm sort of a noob when it comes to performence mods. Is it even possible to chip this car? If it is what are the pro's and cons to chipping. How much of a gain do you get and is it worth it? What are the costs associated with chipping?

Thanks in advance!

Between 10 and 20 dollars with an e-bay chip, with claims of 60-100 horsepower and 50 MPG....LOL.

I just read some of the feedback for those scammers. Lots of negatives for it being a 10 cent resistor. Honestly, what did these guys expect for 8 bucks?

So the answer is no. No real chips available.

welcome to acurazine! =)

try to use the search function as related topics has been discussed =)

anyhow, if chipping can have such gain, the factory would've done so =) why publish 286hp when you can publish 300 =)

^^They're more than a couple hundred, but yeah, turbo cars see a huge increase from the added boost of course.

more like a few grand, and then you run the risk of blowing the turbo's like one guy did and had to spend 26K on an motor and labor.

Dinan is looking for 135 and 535 owners for R&D. Give them your car for a week and receive a free $2k software upgrade. I'd be all over that.

I used to be the Dinan performance rep. when I worked at BMW. They make some high quality stuff, but prices are outragous. The wheels are about $6K without tires...
