Any good gains from this? Correct me if i am wrong but we can cram as much air as we want into our motors but dont we need more fuel to back it up and get good power? Also i think we should all try to get a company to make a tune for our cars (i called hondata directly a few months ago and the guy said he doesnt have any plans for our motors & he was a real dick too) & on top of that how about accessory pully's? Just some idea's

i believe hondata already tried a tune with a 3.5 swap? and ended up blowing the motor..
but i'm not sure.. i haven't really read anything on it since im not a 3G.. lol
but those ported intake runners should give you a good amount of gains.. should port your IM and TB as well. =]
or i should say free up some power..

Ported runners should be done with ported heads, plenum, and throttlebody. Basically air filter to exhaust. They all complement one another. I'm sure you'll gain a little hp but it probably wouldn't be worth the price.
More air= more power. If you do just the runners, there won't be enough extra air to require a retune. The long term fuel trim may change a couple percent to compensate.

^^ Word. I feel like high CR and aftermarket cams is all this car needs to really pull. The PC deletes are the best BFTB (bang for the buck) mod for sure, but I feel like cams and high CR even if all else is stock would yield GREAT gains. Brett, with a J33 5AT 7th gen AV6 reported 45whp gains after compression and TL-s cams. TL-s cams are more aggressive than the Accords and TL obviously, but I'm sure that number would increase 10+hp with a set of Bisimoto cams.
Ant, the ported runners should help the low end if I'm not mistaken, but as said, would really only be 'noticeable' if you did all of them together. Who knows tho?
How are the PC's treatin ya? You get on the highway yet or what

You guys are totally right, I forgot larger cams and possible higher rev limit.
Only thing is, the 11:1 compression is already pushing the limits of pump gas. Anymore and the car requires race gas.

you might be able to push it another half a point but thats just really pushing it. (for a daily anyway)
Honestly though forced induction is the way to go if you want power. Honda already does a good job at getting all they can out of these engines. They actually do very well in getting the combination just right too. Usually all those porting and freeing up intake and exhaust tracks only get you top end (4500+rpm) while hurting your low end.
and in the end youll wind up paying big money for like 20-40 whp increase while the same money spent on boost will get you at least 60+ whp. (with the right tune of course)
I say if you want a bit more pep, than the port job etc will help you get there when combined with suppoting mods. If you want more power FI is the way to go.

You could always go really large on the cams and get away with a little more compression. Then you may have emissions worries lol.

RSX-s are 11:1, they seem to do well on pump gas. I'd estimate the TL/Accord V6 6MTs could see easily 80-100whp on NA performance mods. I/E/Jpipe/PC by itself is around 30whp, being moderate. Add cams and 11:1 CR, that's another 40 for a total of around 65. These cars can be beasts NA as well, especially with the 3.5-3.7L swaps.
There is no reason the stock block 3.0 Accord/3.2TL can't see 300whp NA..with ease.

No because the 258HP claimed by the 3rd gen TLP is with the new standards of measuring HP while the 260HP on the 2nd gen TLS is with the old standards. The 2nd gen TLS 3.2L is more like 245HP. So Acura made 13HP or so on a bumped up compression & slightly different configuration.

I got offered a set of 3.7 pnp runners for dirt. I'm planning to use them. But someone else told me they could cause issues. I'm j32 ,3.7tb and spacer, cai intake, im spacer, atlpv2 j pipe and 3rd cat delete. So not quite fbo but not stock either. Anyone confirm if the runners are a bad idea since this is my daily?
