so if i understand correctly this simply gives us better throttle response. i researched a lot about the sprint booster because i wanted to buy it but i found out that there was no evidence of it improving 0-60mph times or anything, so now since this is so cheap im looking more at the eco mode. does anybody actually have it to testify on improved mpg?

I will update next week. I been busy moving out my rental house and into another one. So bare with me. Also I need to still figure out how where to wire this unit. Since the black box has to be in the cabin. If you have a TL and an AMP show me where did you feed the wire. I need your help before I can help you guys.

couple points need to be improved on the kit

1. Wires need to be lengthened in order to run from engine bay to interior cabin

2. Accelerator connector harness needs to have seal and rubber to protect it from water and heat.

The kit being tested is a prototype. Need more feedback to develop a complete kit for TL/TSX/Accord folks

Sincerely,
TWP

I will have a measurement of how long it needs to be. I will probably try to extend the harness my self and where it will go in the car. I have an idea where I want to put it but how heat resistance is the wiring? Because its is going to be really close to the engine and running along side the strut bar for now.

don't worry about the temperature and the wiring, it is nowhere near the rear precat (which is the biggest heat source)

there should be a few places you can run the wire through on the firewall, look at the driver side inside the cabin get down there and search for a good spot...

I found a place for the driver side, on another fourm. But I have to extend the wiring that the major problem right now. I will get back on to it after I finish moving to my new place.

the wire extension shouldn't be too big of a problem, cut directly in the middle of the harness then splice and electric tape it

in case you need help

Sorry for the delay. I have it all wired up in the car right now. I am testing it on Nor mode. Then I will do the eco mode since a lot of people are interested in saving $$ on gas.

So right now I am going to take a baseline for 2 weeks. Refill back to full and then check it to Eco for 2 week and then refil and see if there is any different.

After that I will have the Sport mode. Just want to give it enough time to get conclusive data

How about the other guy? Where did he go?

Sorry guys but I had returned mine back to TWP shortly after it was received. There was nothing wrong with it; I just decided it was not the right fit for my car.

OMG At least 6 more weeks before we will have a non bias report What can be said about it now at least? Have you considered not using your two week/full tank to empty test?

Is anyone else going to be testing this now that one has been sent back? I would hope so and with some one that will speed up the non bias results.

OKay the display unit just died today. So I am trying to get a new one. Lucky this will just return to normal mode, and the car has been driving find even though the display unit is not working. No CEL and no busting a toyota.

Also I have a few video about the installation that I will post up. Its very very ghetto right now. But I will make a better video once I get the real harness. Basilcally, I added 5 feet of extra wires to the existing wires. I hid most of the wires under the steering column cavity. I also have the unit place at a temporary location.

I send the video to Panson letting him know that my display unit is not working. I will have him help me fix it later. I also would like to get the new harness asap because the one I made is getting a lot of dust particles inside of it.

Okay another thing while testing it. On the normal function drives like the car in normal mode. I got about ~24mpg mostly on local road with some highway. During the Eco mode. I felt that the car throttle response was about the same as normal, but the car took a little bit longer to get up to speed. Nothing too extremely slow. I did not get to try the sport mode yet since the display unit died so I need to troubleshoot it or get a new one.

But so Far soo good. I ran the Eco mode for 3 days now, but it died today. So yeah... Besides that car works great. No CEL when the car is fully turned on.

the eco mode saves gas by doing just what you described, making it so that throttle rises slowly... makes 3rd gear feel like 5th (that is unless of course you mash the pedal, once you floor the pedal the throttle will rise as normal)

Yeah its pretty much what you described. It was pretty interesting. I did not have a chance to hook up the reverse line into my car, but the unit itself is pretty failsafe. When I turn my car off it turns back on to Nor mode. Also even with the display unit broken. The car drive like it should in normally.

I should be getting a new display unit and the new harness in the next few weeks.

Yeah totally. Also the customer service is great. I like to give a special thanks for Panson for getting back to me ASAP on the problem with the display. I am really excited to test out sport mode. lol.

On a side note I need to find out where the reverse line trigger is. I posted on 2 other forum and no one knows.

don't worry about the reverse bs..... you will never go wide open in reverse anyway... it's a fail safe... but if you are really anal about it, my guess it would be tied into the reverse lights somehow... ie, the way backup camera is...

This is on ebay for $70.00. It doesn't say anything about being a prototype.

One person returning it and the second not capable of an accurate review scares me.

its all good. But seriously. I want to finish testing it already. I know its still a "prototype since they didn't realize that the TL,Accord, and RSX all the sensors in the engine bay. I had to extend the wiring about 6ft and crimp it. So that was like 14 bucks worth. The unit was received free. So lets see if they respond back to my email?

Another note Honda actually has a cable but it runs to the sensor. So it does feel like a real TB but it does lagggggggg.

ps. $90 shipped in a different listing on ebay vs $70 +22 to ship as mentioned above

when these were first listed on eBay I paid $125...so this a damn good price
