Please Help: Performance Recommendations

Ok, ok, I know this is an open-ended question, but......

Can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive way to improve the acceleration and/or gas mileage on a 2007 TL?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Easy man. WEIGHT REDUCTION. just like the member innaccurate has done. Although most people most likely won't want to gut thier car out. Innaccurate has reduced his car's weight down by 600lbs and is accelerating tremendously fast. search tl diet videos, in that thread his tl with just bolt ons is pulling 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. i am following his footsteps and since have reduced my cars weight by 300lbs.

As said above, the TL diet is a great way to accomplish what you want. If you want to do some other work for performance, check out the sticky for TL modifications at the top of this section for more ideas!

Besides the TL diet, you could look into a catback or J-pipe. Get a J-pipe best bang for the buck, increase HP/tq in low end, and also will save you like 1-2 MPG (depending). Better exhaust air flow = more HP and better MPG.
