PCD + Resonator
I'm probably not the only one with PCDs that didn't like the small diameter tube. I realize it's necessary for durability to insert the tube into the castings. So I got the idea of putting the tube on the outside of the castings... and while I'm at it, use the open space inside to make a resonator. I just got the parts back from the welder and they look pretty sweet, so I thought I would post some pics...
I also had my J-pipe modified with an oval flange with an equivalent cross section as a 3" round tube.
This I think will have a more natural flow into a dual exhaust.

I won't know how it sounds until after the complete exhaust system is on. I still have to have the PCDs and J-pipe ceramic coated. And then I will have a custom exhaust system made. I'm thinking maybe March or April.
I'm doing everything I can to keep the exhaust quiet while still flowing good.

Not really DIY. I started with RV6 parts and had them modified by a fabricator that I know.

Picked up my exhaust manifolds today from being ceramic coated. I went with the "cast iron" color.
Now all I need is some warmer weather so I can install them.
