I would LOVE to know the real numbers...didn't want to build it up too much but it FEELS nice...hard to describe, didn't turn it into a 500 tq beast obviously...but it feels consistent when accelerating...and there's SOMETHING different about it...feels smoother...or like you're in the powerband a little earlier, if that's possible.

I think is possible because you are increasing a little bit plenum volume improving low end response, also thermal isolation play its role on intake air temperature over the all rpm range.
For sure you are improving efficience (VE) w/ this upgrade. I'll see how much on my engine.

You won't regret it...I keep thinking, am I nuts...but no, there's just something...down low, up top. It's just a little kick in the pants but it makes that little low end acceleration feel nice.

I want to get one of the P2R spacers but will my Fujita F5 intake need any modifications to work with it?

I really dont want to deal with taking off the bumper, uninstalling the intake and having to cut or mess with it and all that kind of stuff. PITA for reals.

IIRC, you MAY need to modify the bracket or something...I didn't have to do anything to my oem intake. Just shove 'er in there...

Got mine the other day. There is some burring on the thread port that worries me. Going to have to sand it down or something, afraid that will remove the anodizing. Anodizing wont flake off if I did sand it correct? Going to install the spacer/gaskets, and intake manifold gasket next week.

While you're at it, make sure to bypass the throttle body coolant lines!

debating... Online it says you guys only have black or polished but if you order it with the IM gaskets you have all colors.. could I get this in blue w/o the IM gasket?

We only have black and polished in stock and those are the only colors on sale. You can order a blue spacer but it would need to be special ordered and at the normal sale price.

black and polished are the most "clean" looking IMO...jump on it!

Sorry about not seeing this thread about the coolant bypass. Easy to do with the TB off the car!

Just ordered mine, then read you can't get any of the colors, was hoping for red. Hope it's an easy install, I'm known to mess up easy jobs, lol. I have an AEM v1, IF I do have to cut it should I simply take a hack saw and do a little at a time?

^It's a real easy install. Took me maybe 30 mins. I need to take some pictures. I did the coolant bypass also, very easy as well. Spilled some coolant, only a few onces, but easy to do. I also used the Copper Seal-a-Gasket spray, also very easy, just hard to put it on before it starts drying.

I see no reason to do the Crankcase bypass. (i didn't do it) Also might not pass visual inspection.

Coolant Bypass - It will just help keep your throttle body cooler by not sending hot coolant through it. No performance gains really, just something to do if you want to keep your intake system as cool as possible. It was very easy and i think its a good idea. If you live in extremely COLD places you might not want to do it, butterfly "might" stick, but i think most of us could do it no problem. You should be fine in Chicago.

Might have to pass on that unfortunately then. We go 2 to 3 week stretches in January and February below zero! I try to only drive the MDX during that time but still.

This point has been covered before. There's precious little opportunity/mechanism by which the valve can freeze due to the mechanisms inherent of the build; the valve is mechanically actuated, and works to avert the theory for which the piping was intended...its simply a safeguard.

Spacer install is done, it's really stupid easy. anyone worried about installation concerns can shoot me a PM. ONE QUICK NOTE: The OE bolts are 12mm, the new bolts are 13mm...while not a big deal, this did catch me off guard.

When I installed my intake manifold gasket, I took the black metal gasket off and just left the p2r by itself...yet I just read here that you're supposed to leave it on? Any reason for needing to have both?

Honestly...when I googled the install...it showed that the person left on the black gasket, I don't know that it matters...

The throttle body, you definitely are supposed to remove the oem gasket.

About the 13MM...I noticed that too...I went over all bolts yesterday and tightened everything up to make sure nothing had wiggled loose. Dan...you did the MDX too? Clearance issues? Worth it? Much more power?

I took the black gasket off. Same as the TB spacer, clean mating surfaces. Leaving it on didnt seem to really make sense.
