i was thinking about doing exactly this, however i would just use 2 of the separate part instead of one small and one big piece...

acura did a good job on the a pipe so the cat delete should give substantial gains..... as you can see the obx unit is not equal length. the oem acura unit is.

the boss should be back today...

i know how much of a difference it makes on forced induction apps but does it have the same effect on NA? I didn't notice that though. Forgot about that bend..

Yes...and not only did they have a CEL all day, the gains weren't there, either. For what it's worth, they were NA at the time...not sure what the result would be on a FI system.

Your boss is the man!

As far as O2 sensors, I remember outsquare saying something like "cover the o2 sensor with spark plug defoulers to eliminate any CEL".

Now is the time to get your boss in contact with astro. He can email him: robb at acurazine dot com, or you can be the middleman and send a pm to astro.

Either way, you need to get this started so the thread can continue to run, which, judging by the interest, is a good thing.

Astro has various pricing plans, so figure out the approximate sales and price and he can work you a deal.

Check the staff page....he co-owns the site. He wont be hard to find on there! Astroboy is the SN.....he is the guy you need to work out the vendor status with.

I dunno...all this wait for this and wait for that....fact is....I am likely to part the dang car out in frustration before they come out with anything. I definately WONT make the mistake of buying a car with so little out there to help it perform...thats for sure. Its like...wait for a reflash...wait for a J pipe...wait for (you fill in blank). It gets old after a while....you kinda wish nobody had said anything before something was ready to release. Shit...the turbo dude has been here answering questions and teasing people...and nothing talking there for a year or so anyway.

My prediction.....

That I dump this car and move onto something else before something significant comes out to really help this boat anchor out.

ok
i will put out another thread when i'm taking orders for real and i will get vendor status for sure before selling...

i know the wait sucks but before companies put out a product they spend years doing R&D... give a little more time, my boss says yes a lot but then it takes him time to come through.

right now our small company is doing a lot of hiring and firing and all that good stuff. so he is really busy. but ive not forgotten

shit
now he's got the check engine on and the car is backfiring [just called me]

and the reader says its running rich... so now its to the dealer this week

You do realize that there is another company that is about to beat you to the chase here, right?

i'm doing this because i found someone who would actually be willing to make one.... then he mentioned he could make a jig easily, so figured i would have them made for the few here...
if they "beat me to it" i might buy theirs

You know what my friend....I think you may be right. I think that is what they are working on now that you say that. Either way...I wish SOMEBODY would release something....but I know how it is with R&D and all the BS you gotta make sure of.

This is the only exhaust I would ever consider. High flow cats are a waste of money IMO. Catless is the only way to go. Count me in.
