New exhaust on its way!!!

whats up guys I finally pulled the trigger and got the xlr8 non res catback exhaust for my 08 tl type s....some quick questions, should I do a ecu reset after the install, if so can someone explain the steps....also I have a aem v2 cai, so now that ill have them paired together I wanna get it tuned so the car runs perfect....can I just bring my car to a dyno or do I need some sort of hondata??

also lately my car has been boggin when I press the gas pedal from a stop...all I have is the intake installed, and when I first installed it, the throttle response was very good now it sucks!! anyone have any info on this!!!?!?

you dont have to do anything, except install the exhaust.

if you want to buy hondata to get the car tuned, then yes, you'll need to spend money on Hondata and dyno tunes.

but if all you want to do is install your exhaust, then that's all you have to do....bolt on exhaust and you're good to go.

Have you tried resetting the ECU?

you're thinking waaaaaaaaaay to hard on this.

to see if it will fix your bogging issue, reset the ECU according to thread above.

then, when you install your exhaust, you can reset your ecu.

it only takes 2 secs and doesnt hurt the car at all.
so, if you want to do it before or after your exhaust, you can.

Doesn't matter, might as well do it now - it only takes a few minutes. Try it. Maybe it'll address the issue.

How long have you had the intake on and how soon after did the car feel like it was bogging?

Why not do it yourself? It's not that hard. Save your money and learn something new!

Exhaust was shipped out yesterday! Thanks for the order. You should get Hondata Flashpro. The Flashpro comes with OTS tunes for the TL's and you will not need a dyno tune as the Flashpro tune is more than sufficient. We have the Flashpro's here in stock and they are on sale as well!

Clean your filter. You should clean it every 6 months. Even a factory intake filter needs to be replaced every so often.

I wouldn't be calling justn out, if I were you. Your questions are a bit silly. And if you're going to mod your car, you need to be able to do at least minimal work on it. Mods more often than not reduce reliability in one form or another. If you want to pay meineke to take your car apart and tighten a screw for you, then so be it, but I wouldn't trust those guys to give two squirts about your car. Who installed the intake for you in the first place? Isn't meineke like an oil change/exhaust shop? I seriously wouldn't trust them to take my car apart. It's a one hour job. I'm sure you can find the time.

You don't even have to remove your bumper cover to fix it. Just pull back the fender liner. Hell you don't even need to jack it up; just turn your wheel.

OP you got friends get a garage day going and get it done.
