Need HELP guys/gals with my AEM!!!

I wake up this afternoon, and start to install the AEM CAI. Im following the directions up until the point where it tells me to drain a gallon of coolant. Ive installed a CAI before, in a civic, and it never asked me to do that. Is this a step that has to be done, or does anyone have any other DIYs? Any help would GREATLY be appreciated.

No need to drain the coolant, just swap all of the hoses quickly (don't wait until the instructions say to install the new hoses)...just be sure to empty out as much from the hoses themselves as you can (use a spare cup). With your car on the ground, pull the old hoses and install the ones that came with the intake. Do one, then the other. A few drops of coolant will spill, but not enough to worry about. Once you have it all back together, pour the coolant in the cup back into the reservoir.

Yeah, that's the coolant hose (the big one is the breather hose)...the other end is attached to a fitting under the throttle body that's horizontal to the ground, right? If so, that's the one you're looking for. The other end is a bit of a hassle to get to, depending on how big your hands are.

Chill_Dog...thanks alot for the info. I had to take off the front bumper cause it was to much of a pain to do the instal without it. It took me 3 hours to do it, but iI ended up getting it done, and without damaging the car of the piping.
