Looking to buy GReddy Catback for my 2004 TL
#42
I'm 22 also. I understand. But a greddy is going to give you horrible drone and rasp.
And true, many cat-back/exhaust mods can or will without resonators welded in...but still. Not to mention nowhere near the gains.
Your car, though. Do what makes you happy.

Haha d-town, your car is what sold me into getting the greddy, looks so nice from the rear! I'm an AM too.
Agreed that the tips are obnoxiously big. I wish they weren't so much themselves cause I hate the cannon look.

I never understand why people knock them... its not the same sounding as greddys on civics. I've had greddy exhaust for a while now, I'm 22 so maybe I'm still a huge idiot, but I haven't stopped liking it.
Everyone who has been in my car has given unsolicited compliments on it. I have verrrrry minimal rasp at only the very top of 1st and 2nd. It'd bug me if I had PCD's I'm sure but just put a resonator on then. maybe if you care about drone or something you might not like it but that's personal taste. I can't stand driving my dad's 4th gen TL now because it's way too quiet for me.
To the OP: you need to do your own research and decide what you like the sounds/looks of. Obviously no one here has the same opinions on exhaust. I like my greddy but I also would love ATLP quads. Look around and decide what fits you and your budget best.

Primary cats--->Jpipe-->3rd cat-->stock exhaust.
if you substitute for Richie RV6 products:
RV6 Pre-cat-deletes(essentially straight pipes)-->RV6 jpipe-->stock exhaust
So, you're getting rid of the factory primary cats for straight pipes.
the jpipe gets rid of the 3rd cat. and then it goes into the stock exhaust.

the Tsudo is a decent choice for the money it looks good and sounds good with pcds and jpipe and its not loud but as others are saying a little research doesnt hurt but we are here to help and as for greddy it does sound really good but the mufflers in my opinion look terrible on the TL because there huge

Yea. You got me.
I actually like the aggressive look/sound of the Greddy. But the tips are OBNOXIOUSLY big. Get it straight, sometimes you don't get everything the exact way you want.
And it was something more along the lines of $600. But thanks anyways for your input.

That $420 kit is not an OEM kit.
