Looking to buy a '07 TL-S turbo, need feedback

There is a 07 Type s with a turbo kit for sale.

details:TH 6062 Precision Turbo, Tial atmospheric waste gate (44mm), Front mount intercooler, AEM engine management, AEM boost guage and AFM meter

is this worth buying at around 20k, it has 55k miles

or should i stay away?

I wouldn't buy any after market turbo kit on a car with out taking it to be checked by my mechanic to make sure he isn't about to blow the engine.

That car around my area is a 25k car. So either your area doesn't hold car value well or he is trying to let it go fast, which would worry me.

^ aftermarket parts greatly reduces the value of the car, but I agree I would have it inspected.

For a dealer yes. But at least around here if you are selling it yourself you ask full price and then negotiate from there.

I personally wouldnt buy a turbod TL-S, but thats mainly because I wouldnt want to deal with the headaches of reliability issues and all the other stuff that goes along with having a highly modded car. not only that but a lot of guys on this forum say its not a good idea to turbo or SC a Type S. For what reasons im not 100% sure, but I will take their word for it :-)

the supercharger is where its in question.
the little blower is inefficient for even the 3.2 base TL.

The car in question; I wouldnt TOUCH it with a 200feet pole.

the car you are talking about has the J&R Turbo Kit it previously belonged to a AZ member on here...he traded it in when he blew the Piston Rings and its been going dealer to dealer since then..i believe its being sold by Premier Auto Imports in Portland Oregan now..they wanted 22K before..

They claimed to rebuild the top end of the engine but it needs the bottom end rebuilt..be prepared to buy an engine if you are buying that car.
