Okay so i just ordered AEM v2 for my 07 TL-S, i was wondering if anyone had any info/advice/headsup that would help with my install as i got the one for the 03-07 v6 Accord. So i Imagine the instructions arent exactly the same for my car.
My Questions? Do i need to shim out where the weld always breaks? Should i get a Wrap for the intake to keep it cooler? It should be here Thur or Friday. Any info please Help! AL you know ill be call u

I believe the V2 mounts down near the filter and nobody has had one break so far, and probably won't. The V1 mount is in the engine bay on the inner fender which some people have had fracture. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here on the V2.
Where did you end up ordering it from and how much (if you don't mine saying)? I'm considering this as an alternative if I can verify [definitively] that the V2 doesn't have the squeel that the V1 has on our cars. The V1 squeel is driving me nuts.

its exactly the same install. the bracket is on the filter part of the pipe and mounts to the bumper support(IIRC). you dont need to wrap it, only time you need to wrap is, is if you get a stainless steel pipe. dont take the bumper off, its not needed. take the wheel off, then the wheel liner, and bam, intake is right there. unbolt the airbox, take that out first, then work your way down. the intake resonator is someone a bitch to maneuver out , but you will get it. no need to take the bumper off at ALL.

The only tricky part I found was removing the damn intake resonator crap, it sure is stuffed in there. Once that was removed, it was cake. I didn't even remove my wheel, can get to the screw and clips without removal. What I did find, was the factory placed the AEM sticker on the wrong side, basically when it was installed the sticker was facing down into the engine bay. I tried removing and placing it up top, but of course it ripped
. I did not need to use shims, and I didn't use any heat wrap. I hope this is halfway useful!94 DC4 RS LSV/Turbo

Wow, that's pretty good. I had to remove the wheel to make things easier. I never did the bumper thing either. Originally Posted by krisroks

Also it was easier for me to bring the intake up through the fenderwell to install. Even with the spacer on, I had no issues clamping everything down.
