For anyone who has a TB spacer and V2 installed, did you have to cut the intake tube in order to accommodate the intake?

I think the purpose of adding the TBS is so there is an extra inch of air that can be held. Wouldn't cutting the intake negate the inch you just gained performance wise?

I may be wrong here, but I don't believe that's how the TB works. If that was the case, the intake fabricaters would simply add 1" to their tubes.

The idea behind the spacer is simply to cool the air some.

How is it supposed to work? A throttle body spacer is designed to straighten the airflow snaking through the crooked plumbing of a vehicle’s factory air box and intake tubing. The idea is that the straightened flow is much more prone to efficient atomization, pairing better with fuel molecules and burning more completely than before. Some spacers even offer another twist: a machined vortex pattern in the surface that swirls the incoming air, much like the integrated parts in GM’s Vortec engines (you’ve probably also seen this in products like the Tornado).
http://searchwarp.com/swa235350.htm

I was wrong.

Its not for cooling, its right next to the engine = alot of heat

I think the "Tornado" effect is whats supposed to help.

Is it worth getting with the V2 CAI ?

Does it whissle like the article said?

Does is really add HP on the Dyno on the 3.2 liter engine?

To make it fit the V2 has to be trimmed??? WTF

As far as I've read, the whistle may depend on the car and/or mods. And no, the V2 requires zero trimming. Mine was installed perfectly, & even without removing the front bumper.

No, I don't, but it's on the to-do list right after the J-Pipe & Race Pipe (followed by a dyno run).

Sounds a bit far fetched since the intake should only add, what, 5 extra horses at max?

Zero trimming because you don't have a TB.

A dyno was done in a Magazine somewhere on AZ where a Comtech catback and AEM intake added 25whp to a 3.2 TL. I guess that would be about 29 crank hp.

08 TL-S 286 Crank HP
06 TL 258 Crank HP + 29 Crank HP = 287 Crank HP.
Plus if your 258hp+29hp 3.2 TL has a manual I would think it would be FASTER the an automatic 08 TL-S.

I had an 07 TL-S AUTO, and my current 06 3.2 TL manual feels faster with NO current mods except Stage III exhaust... BUT friday my V2 will be here!!!

You didnt, but you said you thought you were around 275whp. actual wheel horse power for the 3.2 is ~230. even at the crank i think it was 258 or something.

258 is at the crank. The actual power going to the wheels is less. Alot of power is lost at the crank. Don't ask me how it really works because I have no idea lol

^^^Hahaha I honestly have no idea, and I don't want to make a bs attempt that will be fatally wrong.

But I do know, torque gets the car going aka low end, HP keeps it going aka high end
