I was going see a 300-500 dollar system but seeing your under 1000 dollar, why not fetch another couple hundred to get the ones out there for our cars. Another thing is that most catbacks you need that trim that exhaust bumper or have typs-S rears. Do it the right way the first time, buying a 800 exhaust pipes and down the road upgrading it to 1300 system is like a 2200 system all together. Make a wise upgrade and make it as less of money the first time around.

you gotta pay to play.

dont mod if its expensive. very simple.

Plus, saving money to afford nice things is what you're supposed to do.
I swear americans suck at money management

+1

Excelerate base, non-resonated is $880 and the quality is incredible. Resonated is $44 more.

You shouldn't get any kind of short ram intake, because you'll lose power.

Do you need guidance or advice? 2 threads that could have been one.

My advice is stay away from a short ram. It will suck in the hot engine air, and that is not going to help your power. I know you said you aren't concerned about power, but why take a step backwards in terms of engine efficiency just to get the sound you want?

Either get it from the BM or our vendors. If you need a link there is a vendors' link top page right hand side and sockr1 provided one too.

jpipe is the most HP/TQ you can get for a bolt on besides PCD's, both excelerate and rv6 have dynos posted on there sites and also on here. It should be the first mod done if you want performance. And the only way your gonna hydroblock your intake is if you drive in 3 feet of water. so yea. I drove my car in hurricane sandy in NY, and I survived.

depends on wich vendor. if your saying the xlr8 v2, that produces more gains then the v1 ,because it removes the third cat

OP you need to get your goals straight. You stated you wanted sound over power because it is too expensive. However, you want a $900 exhaust system. Don't get me wrong; not trying to provoke you. On the contrary, just want you to comprehend and not waste your money if you JUST want sound. If sound is what you want then do the stage mods; read this:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/removing-resonator-stock-exhaust-summary-post-1-1811-a-589747/

However, since you made up your mind on the XLR8 (which is an excellent exhaust); go for it
