J-shift J-pipe, Megan test pipe, Custom Magnaflow exhaust with stock tips, RSB!!

so! the big day finally came....

installed:
Progress RSB
J-shift J-pipe + megan test pipe
Magnaflow exhaust setup with stock tips

First off, let me say, it was one heckuva day.....long and sweet, lol i actually couldnt fall asleep the night before, so it has been a VERY VERY tiring day

i'm loading the pics below my post, but my phone wasnt taking sound clips for some reason , and even if it did, i doubt it would show you a good idea of what it's like

SO FIRST THINGS FIRST ~

Review: Progress RSB - it was REALLY easy to put on since my entire exhaust system was taken off, but looking at the install, it is of medium level in difficulty, only because the 4 bolts you loosen are pretty STUCK on because of all the grit and grime that glues them to the car. The difference between stock A/T and the progress one is like....disgusting.....if i put them next to each other...it makes you want to cry.
Response: wow my car feels SOOOO Different, i have it on the tightest setting...and it's not just your turns are TIGHTER....just going down the straightway you may notice on uneven roads that your cars sometimes feels like it's jiggling left and right mostly due to weight shifting back and forth and your ASS hanging ....well that's all basically gone....though you will feel it the most thru the turns. Car feels a lot more nimble, and for rider comfort I say this is definitely a MUST do....imo even BEFORE the CAI and pulley.

Review: richiev6 J-shift J-pipe - all this really is, is a down pipe, and again, when you look at stock and the richiev6 version...you see just how restrictive the old one was. Install is relatively simple, though it is definitely harder than the progress bar. You can do this with your front jacked up both sides on Jack stands, but really, it is so much easier on a lift.
Response: since i also had my exhaust changed, i'm not sure how much of it was due to the down pipe + megan test pipe....but...this was my true and honest experience. On my drive back after the install, I grew kind of worried, my car was shifting and accelerating FLAWLESSLY it was sOOO smooth....like butter....but that wasn't why i was worried. I was worried because I thought something was wrong with my odometer, it showed me dancing with the needle and 120MPH, but i felt like i was going 60MPH....i just couldnt believe it....then i realized all the cars felt liek they were driving 10MPH....LOLOLOLOLOL ~ i dont know how much I get in initial gain, but what i do know is that it definitely feels a lot more powerful.....i was hitting 100-120 flawless, no extreme seat massager action like i've previously experienced...

Review: Magnaflow mufflers + Y-pipe w/Stock tips - install ~ can't do it yourself, and i would take it to a VERY good welder, because honestly all the welding points potentially will slow your car down. I was VERY VERY LUCKY, my installer is simply....GOD, it was done with the utmost best craftsmanship i've ever seen. My old Stage 3 welding was done at some meineke and god....the differences in the welding location after the job was just....light and day.

if ANYONE is within a 7-8 hour drive to Arnold, MO, i say dont even chance it, and just go to this guy for the install, he does it fast, and doesn't scam you for money. For all the things i had done today, plus all the extra piping and labor costs i dropped $400....amazing price, and really, i would've been more than willing to pay $600 for the type of work he did.

For those that are close or at maximum 7-8 hour drive to Arnold, MO; goto HTP and look for Matt ~ he is more of a perfectionist than you and WILL keep working even PAST his own dinner time with his own children to make sure everything is done RIGHT:

HTP Automotive
2010 Key West Dr
Arnold, MO 63010
(636) 282-4007

response: WOW, I am SOOOOOO happy right now. during the lower RPM band it roars, and mellows out after 3500 RPMs and there is barely any drone for me at the highspeeds. There is a bit of drone if you're just rolling from a stop, but i think that's what everyone was looking for.

i know all of this is worthless without a dyno follow up so i will hit that up sometime this week.

here are the pics of the install, my phone was acting up near the end so i didnt get a FINAL shot of everything:

haha thanks for the comment, sorry about the crappy pics, was all done on my camera phone T.T

LGKE850 is BADDDDD

but even with the shitastic pics, you can see how nice of a job he did, no uneven surfaces on the inside of the pipes, so I'm actually thinking i even picked up a couple of ponies with the way he set it up.

thanks for the comment ^^, will try and post pics in daylight tomorrow of what it finally looked like, and of course try and find my digi cam that's come MIA since my GF last visited the day before (GRRRRRRR)

push come to shove i'll try and record it on the cell phone, but really no form of recording will do it justice....it is simply ....SEX, just SEX

all the mandrel bending and everything was done by Matt at HTP Automotive:
2010 Key West Dr
Arnold, MO 63010
(636) 282-4007

yea he did an amazingly detailed job, no messy welding like my original straight pipe + dynomax resonator done at Meineke....basically he made sure there would be no jaggle edges INSIDE the piping to make disrupt smooth airflow.

UPDATE: first full day of setup ~ after last night, it seems to have toned down a bit, the ROARING is more of a growl now. Last night it seemed to be really loud between 500-1500 RPM when you first start to step on the gas....now it has toned down alot.

Drove down my school road today, turned quite a few heads. Some douche in his G35 wouldnt stop tailgating me all the way to the student parking....i didnt even bother

oh dude, lol guys sorry, probably didn't read my wall of text, my phone was kinda buggy near the end of it all, so i never got the finishing pics.

here's a few i took just now after i saw the comments lol

sorry about the terrible pics, dont have my digicam...T.T as you can see i had the tips stick out a little more, since the stock position was actually pretty deep in. I'll try to get better pics later.

but the exhaust is still in deeper than the bumper, it doesnt stick out at all, actually it looks just like it did before.

to be safe that you get the correct part (i ordered my magnaflow mufflers online, i opened once box and the looked fine, the other box was the SAME exact image on the outside with the same part number, so didnt bother to check the second one, went to my auto guy and he didnt check either, opened the same box i opened apparently and assumed the other would be the same. Thank god for good craftsmanship, he was able to work with the slightly different muffler.)

anyway long story short, PM richiev6 and he'll get you the right part.

JCL622, you're from flushing? If so, I want to come check out your exhaust system. How much was the whole setup? I like it!

grew up in flushing, move out to the island. But doesn't matter cuz my car's down with me at school in Missouri!!

i might make a drive up soon tho, too many friends i havent seen in awhile.

whole setup cost me about 650ish i think?

I can't remember how much it was for the muffleres and y pipe. But labor, extra piping, and installing Progress RSB while at it, cost me about 400...

all in all, an AMAZING deal. too bad this guys out in MO
