Keep me posted on how much "rasp" there is compared to stock. I'm really intrigued by these new V3 PCD's but don't want to risk making my car sound like a riced out Civic. Thanks to all who jumped in early so that nervous nellies like me don't have to make a $345 gamble. I eagerly await peoples reviews.

^well i'll be installing mine on saturday and i'll report back with video clips.
keep in mind that i also have a P2R TBS, AEMv2 intake, v3 jpipe, and xlr8 non-res quads...so idk if it will help your decision or not bc everyones car sounds different depending on what has been done to it.
either way, i'll post videos monday.

and does anybody know if the hfc will put out more torque? i think i read that somewhere on this site. but i cant remember, if the hfc sacrifices too much hp/torque i will suck it up and deal with the rasp of the pcd

Ill take some before and after videos too... as of now I'm completely stock except for intake resonator delete.
Also I'm going to sand down the pipe lip where it meets the castings to allow for a better flow condition coming into and out of the pipe. Ill take some pictures of that too when I'm done.

^yeah your resonated exhaust will def help with the rasp.
if i can't stand the way it sounds, i'm just going to weld in the biggest magnaflow that i can fit on the exhaust. but who knows, maybe i'll like the way it'll sound.

I'm interested since I have the V2s. I think the "rushing" noise should go away with these because of the thicker metal. Might actually be a slight increase in power as well, although I doubt it will be noticeable.

^^^ i doubt there will be any power increase...this has more of a thicker material...might help in insulating some sound but it will have the same gains as the v2....
dont the v2's have a dent and this one doesnt ? well i take my comment back...it might help the power a little bit too in that case....but not noticeable...

ok anyone else here purchase the HFPC's? after install post pics, sound clip video and a quick review of how you like them, along with list of all exhaust mods. i ordered my set last night. the only thing im really worried about is the rasp. i dont really want to add a resonator, but if i must, i will.
my current set-up - ATLP J-Pipe, ATLP HFC, ATLP V2 exhaust.

Good vid Stillhere! Your car sounded WAY better with the pro-cats, and Richie's cats will sound no different.
$550 HFC's with no rasp and no noticeable loss of performance > $350 raspy PCD's.
I suppose some people might like the rasp, but not sure why.

Would i be correct in assuming that the RV6 HFPC's can work in unison with the ATLP HFC?
Or would the RV6 HFPC replace the current ATLP HFC in your setup?
Sorry if this is an easy question.
I have been reading up on exhausts to fine the most optimal configuration and this point has got me confused on which way would be best.

PCDs installed yesterday. in the way of power mods, i have PCDs and outlaw spacers(also installed yesterday). car feels much stronger and i'm overall VERY happy.
there is no rasp, but on cold start there is a weird noise from the engine bay (sounds like an E92 M3 on cold start, if anyone knows what i'm talking about) that goes away once things warm up. the exhaust volume is PERFECT as of now. i commute 100 miles a day so anything loud or annoying is unacceptable.
very happy overall..makes me a little power hungry now but i'm concerned a J pipe will ruin the quiet ride the current setup gives me.
install was pretty easy from my perspective..dropped it off in the morning, went to work in my girlfriend's truck, picked it up around 7pm last night. i'm a little spoiled, a very good friend of mine from high school is an acura master tech and the dealership is cool about side jobs. install consisted of basically drop the front sub frame and j-pipe, remove pre cats, install deletes, install subframe and j pipe, align, done.
