i've had my V3's on for a few years now. no problems.
one thing you may want to check is your motor mounts before installing these. if your mounts are weak or cracked, that'll increase engine movement and will increase the probability of splitting one of the welds on the cat.

^^^
the rear cat would crack if the owner user a combination of different motor mounts (solid and factory)....this puts additional stress on the PCD and cracks it....
I have had the PCD's for 3 years now without a problem....am running the V2 version....
EDIT: damn Aaron...didnt see your response there....was replying the Jeremy....

2.5" ID might produce more rasp and less backpressure....not sure how it will perform on the dyno though

why some full bolt-on need change exhaust 2.5 or dual ?? im really curious the power produre between 2.5 in vs rv6 v3 2 1/8 in vs stock 1 3/4 in !! back pressure is create at split in j-pipe !!
if sonnick run 3 inch exhaust !! or 2 po dual the back pressure is decrease ??

^^^ I understand your argument....
backpressure is not ONLY created at the Jpipe merge but anywhere by restriction....even the 3rd cat creates backpressure....
if you see, the Rv6 true dual is only 2.25" and not 2.5"....single exhaust system do a 3" diameter (like Sonnick)....but going to a very very wide tubing, you will move your powerband in the upper rpm hence seriously losing some low end.....

^^^ I did a lot of research before getting my exhaust built....
I have to say I have a very free flowing exhaust but because its free flowing it tends to have rasp at certain rpms....
If i had to do it again, i would have done everything exactly the same but just kept the damn X merge outside the muffler

you wont get better gas mileage bc you will have the urge to drive faster/harder after you install these.
i can't imagine ceramic coated makes THAT big of a difference but to each their own.

^theoretically; exhaust mods help with gas mileage.
however; the point of these are to bring you more power.
I find that I LOVE hanging out in the 4k-7k RPM range, so my gas mileage suffers.
the engine makes heat. not the PCDs. the high temps will remain, unless you figure out how to vent the heat, either by modifying the cowl to let air hot air out, or by modifying your hood with hood vents.

I had my PCD's (Version2) ceramic coated inside out by a local guy (when I was in STL)....he did a great job...I do not have any temperature data to provide but I dont feel any heat soak (I do have a couple other cooling mods as well so not sure where to apply the credit)....
but I got it done from the same place and after this guys recommendation....he knew what he was talking about:
