Intakes options with no aggressive sound (Icebox)

Guys,

I've searched and searched but haven't found anything that might work. I'm looking for intake performance option that will not have the aggressive sound that a CAI has. Personally, the sound just doesn't appeal to me.

I know comptech made their Icebox for the 2G's which is exactly what I'm looking for on my 3G. But unless I'm mistaken, they never released an Icebox for the 3G/4G.

Are there any options out there thats comparable to the Icebox? Any help would be greatly appreaciated!

thanks in advance!

I'd be interested in finding one too. I've recently heard bad things about K&N air filters & I do not like the sound of CAI either...listen to my dads G35 with CAI and my buddy's Nissan and I just dont want that sound being overbearing especially after the ATLP is here!

I don't recall seeing one. Maybe fabbing one up is your best option? It shouldn't be too difficult to make one though so that's a good thing.

No icebox for a 3G. Homebrew is your only option.

I have an 07 TL-S with a Fujita F5 CAI and it really sounds like stock unless you are above 4500 rpms. I bet most do not even know I have anything done. Your other options is to try and make an "icebox" set up out of your existing stock intake. I like the CAI for the fact that it cleans up the engine compartment and drops a little weight.

You don't necessarily need to use a k&n filter. There was a thread with all different type of filters being tested... can't find it though. There are free'er flowing paper filters than stock.
