I just ordered the Sun Automotive Hyper Voltage regulator and grounding kit myself, and while it hasn't arrived with the instructions just yet, I'm curious also if anyone has done this installation and where they grounded it?
There's a link on here to a tuner car that was done that has a few pictures of the ground kit they installed, and they mention a little bit, but it was high level information and pictures, no specific details on where / what they did exactly.

Ground Wires
I found 3 grounding wires, 1 directly from the negative terminal of the battery, 1 under and behind the throttle body, and 1 on the drive belt side. Are there anymore?

Anyone who has done this and can help? Just received my grounding and hypervoltage kit and going to install tomorrow, any help is appreciated.
The grounding kit is basically 5 lengths of heavy wire, you run them all from your neg. battery to points unknown on the Acura TL. The instructions are very vague / non-specific to our car. Saw the pics mentioned in both threads but you couldn't tell where each wire goes to.

I don't know if i did it 'right', but theres a big ground right next to the battery, then follow where they go from that point in the wheel well. I put from there to the top of tranny, from tranny to engine block, engine block to some grounding point by an accessory crank, dont remember which. Just take some time before you do it and kinda map where they will go. If your facing the engine, the point on the tranny is back and to the left from battery(look!), the engine block at the rear left corner has a bolt begging to be grounded. Then directly right of the winshield fluid res, there is the (stock)accessories ground point. Make sure the main cable (stock) from the battery to the inner driver fender well is replaced or supplemented with the ground, then daisy chain from there. Good luck and be original w/ it!

Joe- Not exactly sure where the ground point is on the driver's side you mention, did you remove the tire and liner on the driver's side to get to it?
Also...the tranny spot you went do..where was it? Any chance of getting a pic? I mounted all but 2 of my wires yesterday...not sure if I did it "right" but 2 more to go still...and I also made a kind of bracket for mounting the Hypervoltage unit and attached it to the strut bar using stainless steel ring clamps and a piece of angle iron with holes in it.
Works but not that "pretty"...anyone else have a suggestion as to where they mounted that piece? Very tight in the engin and cables aren't super long, so choices are limited. My other thought was to mount it to the side of the battery box.
Will take some pics later for you all to see...I'm curious to hear what people think of the points I used.
The instructions are very generic and mention the intake, tranny, cylinder heads, engine block, etc as some of the points to ground to...they say pick 5 spots.

Gq- Good going getting it on there, thats the conquering spirit needed for modding! The main lead from the battery's neg- is a fat black cable that goes directly right from the battery to where? Mine went directly into the side wall to ground the chassis. When I put on my intake, I saw like 20 things getting there grounding point from right there on the the main chassis ground. The tranny point can be seen from the top, I think?

Yes but don't the intake instructions say to remove the wheel well liner on the driver's side? My neg does go to the same spot roughly..but I don't see 20 other things there...
Tranny spot not sure...not 100% sure where it is to be honest..LOL

Gq, yeah, the '20 other' ones can be seen only if the inner fender well is removed, as per the instructions included w/ intake kit. You dont need to see them, but if you can change the main factory ground out with sun's ground wire, then your done. I don't remember if you need to, but you might have to pull the fender lining to access the back of the screw. You can see the head of a bolt, from the wheel well, you can see the nut.

I bought both the Hyper Voltage kit (type MR silver with blue wires) and the Hyper Ground kit (blue wires).
Got mine on Ebay or Googled..place called Drift Factory..
http://www.driftfactory.com/
Think it was through ebay though.
Thanks for the tip on the wheel well , I actually just received my panel popper kit and the special clip remover tool so it will be a breeze to take out the liners now.

Just looking for an update from you. Now that you have had this for a while. What do you think? Can you even tell its there? Is it worth the money, time, etc???
Thanks!
I would love to see some data on which one of this type of product is working "best".

Just wondering if you had it put in yet. I am planning in getting the same ones (Buddy Club). Just want to hear your feedback on the product.

I like it..it seems like the engine is generating more hp/torque..slightly peppier. Seems to run a little more smoothly, yet more throaty like it's a little more powerful.
Maybe it's just my imagination but I think this was a good upgrade for the $$. Also, I've been tracking my mpg using the trip computer and it seems to have gone up slightly.
