How do I make my car louder?
So I recently got a silver 04 TL and love the car. I used to have the 2000 but the new 04 is very different and I was wondering if someone could help me try and do some things to the car. I want to make my car a little bit louder but I don't want it to sound like a ricer. You know a nice purr that my car would give off so it sounds nice but not to crazy. Any help would be appreciated because I really know nothing about cars; if you post please put them in dummy terms so I can understand. Thanks a lot in advance.

I don't want the greddy cuz i've heard that and the car will just sound like a monster and that isn't what I am looking to do with my car.
I looked up the Aero AR25 resonator and it says that it'll make the car quieter. I am looking for something that won't be TOO loud, like a suttle but definitely known loud. Any other options?
I was told that maybe an Intake or exhaust, any other ideas? Any specific ones?

The Tanabe Medalion along with the Comptech are by far the quietest setups out there. These have resonators and mid mufflers like the stock system
The next up is XLR8 resonated, which is a bit louder than the Comptech or Tanabe, but by no means Greddy Loud. It has no mid muffler but has a resonator.
Then the XLR8 Non Res - Same as above, but with no Resonator...Yields a louder sound than the resonated version
The ATLP base is the next option, which is louder than the XLR8 Resonated setup, and can be considered about the same loudness as the xlr8 non res. The tip design is completely different than the xlr8i version utilizing a square tip that fits the bumper cutouts perfectly versus xlr8's round tips
Then there is the Greddy. Which is by far the loudest.
To minimize drone, it has been said, with some of the exhausts setups mentioned above, you install a J-Pipe.

Get the ATLP base exhaust. DONE DEAL. If you can get a intake get that too. It really adds a sick tone to the car at higher RPM's. You wont be dissapointed with the ATLP, problem is there is a little issue and its called a waiting list. Good luck.

So I have been looking at intakes and I am stuck between the AEM and Injen.
What are the pros and cons of each? And which would be recommended if I may get an exhaust, also if i wouldn't?

get the injen, i think its cheaper... pros and cons, they're both CAI...while injen is a one size through the whole piping, and only enlarges a bit on the end where the filter clamps...the aem v2 changes sizes...thats their supposedly unique design to create some kind of velocity in the air... its all a bull crap and marketing purposes...the hype up gets to ur head and has u believing it makes more power... truth is...both serve one purpose... they enable to motor to breath easier, rather than through the whole roller coaster of stock induction system which was cold air to beging with...so the gain of the CAI from injen or aem or any other, isn't really the fact that it will be sucking air from out of the engine bay....cause the car did that to begin with...its just the simple reason of being able to have e more free path, which makes it easier for the motor to suck the air...and thats where the gain comes from... dont kill urself fighting choices...either one..ur not gonna miss out on anything... go with the one for less money.

Im gonna have to agree with opel on this one. IMHO, the V2 is just a marketing strategy which seems to be working very well. Alot of people switched to the V2 because of the "new design". Its a tube with a filter attached to it. The air is going through the intake so fast that the possbile gains by getting the V2 is not worth it. (thats cause there is none). Injen may be cheaper but that in no way implies less quality.

what did you use for that? the comptech and aero combo?
i was reading and i am thinking about doing either a stage 2 or stage 3 exhaust..
is this the same thing? or better? and what is the approx cost for it?
also does anyone know the cost for the ATLP base and quad and how back ordered is it?
