I just wish I had enough money to just buy the full turbo setup, but ECU will do. I don't think I can drive 100% with a 500whp FWD. But that is why I'm taking this step by step.

I'd like to see the numbers with the JnR ecu on 4th gear rather not on the 1.7 gear set of 3rd.

^^ I agree. I don't think it would make a difference in terms of gains, but the end numbers would be different. Not really sure why some were done in 3rd.

The car that is being tested, it be nice to see him run the 1/4 mile time with the JnR ecu. I'm sure it should pick up 14.0 flat or better.

Rodney has something for you....

We were talking about it and i told him to do a GB for the Turbo and with some customizations....we will be posting something today I presume, so when he becomes a vendor he will be able to sell the ECU and the Turbo kits....

You will see a difference of 2-4HP max...

But honestly, 1 thing is not enough.....everyone wants a different version LOL....When i spoke with Rodney he said he will be willing to provide as many dyno's coz he knows what this product can do

ECU can't. You're not only helping yourself, but buying this, you're helping Rodney create more advancements for our TLs, which is the biggest reason why I'm buying this so Rodney can have more dough and RND (through us for the ECU) for future stuff.
I've covered most of the items I think would required as a prerequisite to fully take advantage of an ECU minus HFPCD, TB Spacer, IM Spacer and cams.
For the time being I'm going with the BBK as it will complete my exterior and give me the ability to track my TL come spring.
The JnR ECU is definitely worth the cost especially when you compare it to the cost of a cat-back system.

I have spoken with Rodney a couple of times via email about a 6MT swap and he was always very helpful and professional.

As Rodney is a pioneer for ECU tuning for the TL I think more people should cut him some slack and be more patient. It is not easy nor cheap to be first in the market.
He's stepped up huge compared to others (Hondata) who ignored our market for many years.
Rodney is a standup guy and stands behind his product so the least we can do is stand by him as he works to help us get the most out of our TL's.

I'll be following the developments with the NA crowd closely as the ECU is definitely one of my next mods

That is without a doubt a true statement. It's too bad there isn't someone down there that could give him a hand. If I lived near him, I would be more than willing to offer my help.

so been exchanging emails with Rodney which by the way responds quickly and is very easy to communicate with.....Long story short I have purchased the ECU and a Knock unit and the ECU will be expedited to Rodney's shop as I will be in Florida with my car and have agreed with Rodney to do thew JnR ECU +knock unit install and Dyno tune there!!!

This will def be a great xmas gift to myself and am very excited to meet Rodney and also have some videos of my gains with the mods I currently have

so for all N/A 5at type-s guys out there curious on gains with full RV6 bolt on exhausts stay tuned and we will have some info!!!

btw don't know if I should be on that group buy list or not but I will have this install by next week......So I am def glad to be helping Rodney out and just glad I am fortunate to have family down in florida and just end up killing 2 birds with one stone!!!! This will be a fun trip back home after the install and know that Rodney will have me running smooth and with a grin all the way back home!!!!

I would hate to buy this while still being up here and then having to deal with finding a decent tuner to tune my ride!!!

Thanks in Advance Rodney and see you next week buddy!!!

hey I'm far too but I'm vacationing down there so I guess it gives me a reason to head down and not only for the ECU lol!!! I have a 1400mile trip Friday Boston to Orlando and then back to Boston JnRECU'd out how nice...usually I would be upset going back north but this time I will have a smile drive back up!

No problem bro...about the PCD dyno's, i didnt get any of those from Rodney....he is away for couple days but sometime this weekend maybe ?

will keep the thread updated....

On a positive note, Rodney is pretty positive about becoming a vendor, so this might work in all our favor

Fellas,

Are the ~20whp ECU gain numbers on top of what the other mods provide or total with supporting mods that were listed?

Also, what does a typical tune run? Out here in Cali, we're always paying double for everything.
