swoosh, can you post that excel sheet so we can see everything laid out and updated...and also to see who still has to pay for this.

so if rodney gets at least 10 orders paid, he can start shipping? otherwise we wait until the first of the month?

LOL fair enough.

But what about mechanically in terms of the lifespan of the car and its components?

It's all in the beholder tune and of the foot.

If you constantly run it like you stole it, it won't last.
If you tune it incorrectly, it won't last

But, it could be the beginning of a quickly shrinking bank account.

The free version will run everything ,this paid version is used with 02 feedback which can self tune car when set up correctly or it can also suggest maps .....
So again you do not need the paid version of tuner studio
The Ecu is a plug and play unit preprogrammed for all model TL or TypeS ,auto or manual upgraded or ,base maps will be uploaded in all Ecu according to mods specified with orders..........
There is no wiring required to unit as for people with 02 wideband there will be a labeled wire 02 that will accept input from innovative or aem ect ........

Theres no trans control or extra wire to wire up in mid 2012 we will go ahead and venture into trans control for people who will be wanting this but has nothing to do with current Ecu ,if all goes well it would be a total different unit to control transmission and shifting ect ...

A wideband is not necessary as your local Dyno shop will have all this if you opt to fine tune Ecu or just run it on Dyno to get numbers of whp ect ..For boosted applications thats when we absolutely recommend a wideband ,

We also do not recommend tring to tune the car or change settings without a tuner or someone with tuning knowledge ,of course for street tuners a wideband will be necessary..hope this clears up any questions ..

So just to get this straight, we absolutely need an O2 wideband in order for Tuner Studio to tune the ECU for us? So the FREE version is absolutely useless if we want it to self-tune?

BTW, payment sent...

As Swoosh points out, it's all here:

http://www.efianalytics.com/TunerStudio/

But the short answer is yes and yes

Think about it, if there is no feedback, how does it know what to base the tune against?

If you going to a tuner and they are just tweaking the settings, then you can use the free version. However, it is likely they have their own laptop to do the changes.

I had asked that in this thread because it had me dumbfounded too but totally forgot that you can run in a fixed mode.

The OEM O2 is a proprietary wideband as Inacc pointed out and the MS3 only accepts input directly from narrowband O2 sensors

I think the defoulers everyone is using to avoid a CEL would skew any reading of the stock o2 anyway.

Swoosh, I haven't tried it yet but I am pretty sure you still need the PC for VE Analyze. One reason why I am installing a carpc.

There is also no way that I can see where the stock ECU has an analog output suitable for the MS3 to use. The only option would be to install it next to the stock sensor and finding one that can handle the extreme temperature. I suppose a defouler could be installed to get it out of the direct path of the exhaust.

Not that any of us turbo guys aren't using a wideband o2 setup, but the turbo kit also has built in defoulers. That said, I'm pretty sure I have seen a AFR value displayed on the dash dyno, no doubt the o2 reading is off but I think its able to read the oem o2 sensors. I will check it out.

Sure Dash Dyno has the ability to read the A/F calculation from the stock ECU, but does it output that value as an analog signal that can be interpreted by the MS3?

I see what you guys are saying, it just sounded like people were saying the signal from the o2 was proprietary and couldn't be read except by the stock ECU. I wouldn't imagine the ms3 would connect to the stock sensor.

Inacc went through a lot of research with regard to fooling the stock ECU to prevent timing pulls and monitoring knock and A/F. It was first thought that like other automobiles that it was using narrowband sensors but later found that they were indeed wideband and not industry standard.

I am curious though if you can remove the OEM sensor and put a Bosch sensor in there... both are wideband.. not sure the output of the sensors and also what type of controller the OEM is using... I am just thinking outside the box on this one... the size of the two widebands look to be about the same.. need to pull out the books.. annoying part is I am at the inlaws for the weekend and the books are at home

Hmmm...If we already have a wideband from the factory, then why do we need to install another wideband again? I originally thought it was because the OEM one is only accurate up to a certain point, but now the MS3 can only read a narrowband? Then why is Rodney offering a wideband as an added option?

Sorry for the questions, just need a little more clarity...sorry if this has been beaten to death...
