grills painted body color
I have seen some great painted grills, but only in NBP. Has anyone done another color grill in body color...such as DWP?? Just curious to see one painted body color other than black.
Thanks in advance,

I wonder if I can find a front grill in a junk yard and have this professionally done in DWP surround, black out the center cross bar, and leave the "A" in chrome as if it were floating.....
I might have to try this.....

jbcritch, I have AM and I've been thinking of doing just that. Color matched grill surround and paint the middle part gloss or semi gloss black. If not, modify the middle part of the grill so it will look like Mugen grill for TSX.
I just don't know when or if I'm going to do this.... Maybe before Xmas.

So I am thinking about getting mine painted. Just talked with the guy up at the dealer and he quoted me and another member on here a good price. But one other guy mentioned that he cant promise the paint would last long. I know its plastic but wouldnt you think they would be able to paint it so it would last a while? I mean I would hate to do this and then have the paint start chipping on me after a few months...

I like it Kona. What did that cost you to get done? and forgive the ignorant question, but you can just pop those out, take them to the shop to get painted, and pick them up again later, right???

I got my grill painted body color.
However I do not have the pics uploaded. If anyone wants to post em I'll send them.
I also got the painted eyelids.
Oh yeah, BTW, the color of my car is anthracite

That's not hard at all.
You have to remove the 3 parts of the grill: top part, middle, and molding.
The top is secured by 4 screws and a plastic clip in the middle.
The middle part is secured by 5 bolts and the molding just has the clips that hold it. Once you feel them in the back of the grill, push them put and take the molding apart from the grill. You also have to take off the top plastic cover, but that is very easy.
I got mine painted and so far everything is fine.
If anyone needs heltp taking the grill apart I'll gladly help. I'm in the Bronx

Ron- count me in for an NBP grille! The best thing is the wife even thinks it looks hot, and I'm having a hard time convincing her of things I want for the TL. BTW- is the front air dam for the 05TL available separately?

Nah, they just used the paint code on the door. I think it's NH-643M
But since those 3 pieces are plastic, the grill looks a little lighter than the car itself...
Now the car looks more like an 03 CL type-S, where the grill was also painted.
Basically it narrows the look of the front end
