I asked this shop a couple days ago about tips welded on and he said that muffler+tips+labor would be 287. He said the tips were 40 a pop(similar to comptech ones)..and I'm guessing you should be getting a quote of 130-150ish. UA6spec has some sick remus tips on his stock exhaust system, never got to ask him the price though.

I'd say just go with all new mufflers+resonators for a sporty sound as well and look, unless you dont want any sound, then yeah this would be a good idea.

Good luck, and keep us updated

Yeah it's possible, though make sure you get a good tip because there might be some issues fitting it correctly due to the limited amount of space. It's easiest just to go to a shop with a tape measure, figure out what size you have to work with, and then look at the posters with the tips on them and find one with the correct dimensions.

^^get the tips off a Mercedes GL450 or R350. I used to work there and always thought these tips would look siiick on a tl. It's perfect since all you want is the look. I already have an exhaust so can't really do it. Only thing is, at the dealer it's waaay too expensive, so just check out a local salvage junkyard. It takes a torx screwdriver to remove the tips, i forget what size though. At the junkyard just tell them that they cost like $30 each, and hand them like $30 for both, i'm sure they'll take it since they don't know they each cost $200!!! Good Luck!!!
