I am thinking about adding a new exhaust sytem to my 07 TL Type S. I am looking to keep the stock tips and have something sound throaty not tinny. Any suggestions? Any sound/video clips where we can here them? Is it even possible to add a new system and keep the existing tips?

ATLP is as close a you'll get; comes with a nice quad-tip and is built to fit the TL-S.

Only way to keep stock tips is cut 'em off and have them re-welded to whatever you exhaust you get.

 

I just got a dynomax resonator and removing mid muffler, the stock tips would be left there and should give it a nice deep sound.

 

I did the Magnaflow w/ mid-delete. Decent sound under acceleration yet quiet while crusin. BTW, thanks to everyone who help answer questions about this mod.

 

He didn't say anything about hacking up the stock exhaust.

 

Excelerate's exhaust has OEM-looking tips.

 

yea but for a good catback your looking at around 1k, if he just wants sound and wants to save alittle $$ he could just do a resonator, mid muffler delete and add like 2 magnaflow mufflers or something
