wutz good bro thx for ur question. a mod i did to my type s that not only sound good but treat my wallet good, wuz stage 1 eggzost.

basikally wut u do is u take out the mid muffler (square looking object) and have the exhaust dudes weld in a straight pipe (aluminum). usually 20-40 bux in labor. once u get ur car on da lift, u will see a squareish shape.

check dis pic out, b.

I've done the Resonator replacement with a 22" magnaflow and mid muffler delete and notice it didn't sound as loud as I thought. It's actually pretty quiet and you only hear it around 2-3k but you will be able to notice the difference. I just went back to the muffler shop and had them take out the 22" resonator ( 22inch was too long to begin with) I had them replace it with 2.5" piping and it sounds good for the most part. It is a bit louder but not as loud as you think. I'm also planning to takeout the intake resonator in a few weeks and that should make it sound better and improve performance. The guy also recommended taking out the 3rd cat because it's not monitored and a lot of people do it but I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea.
