Exhaust Leak/ HFPC Delete?

So I have an XLR8 J-pipe installed on my 2008 type-s. I have an exhaust leak on my cat and it needs to get replaced. They quoted me $300 labor and $600 for a new cat... So Im wondering if I should just buy the RV6 HFPCs and get that installed instead? Is this a good combo?

I recommend the HFPC, and not a test pipe(Precat delete) unless you wanna-be JDM AF.
