Exhaust help!!!

I currently have a '08 TL Type-S and want more sound from my car at a tight budget. I was thinking of replacing my stock resonator with a Dynomax bullet 24215, keeping my mid muffler, and deleting my rear mufflers. Would it sound good? I am trying to avoid excessive drone and fart can sounds.

experimenting with exhaust is just that.. Experimenting..

Do what you have planned and if you do not like it, then you have to change it up to where you do like it.........

which means $$$$$$$$$$$$$

I hate the way my car sounds, now that I have grown up(hah!)
but I dont have the cash to keep switching out exhaust pieces, so loud and ugly is how it will stay

My guess is do more searching on here to find the 2,000 previous threads asking about exhaust opinions. Once that is done, you in theory may have a better idea of what to expect as you change out various components in the exhaust with various options. There seriously are lots of posts that include sound clips of what people have done over the past 15 years with their TLs. Youtube is also full of clips ranging from stock to straight pipes and just about anything in between.

Resonator delete and Mid muffler change sounds ok and is affordable. Exhaust sound is such a subjective topic..You just have to experiment what's right for you. This is my setup:

Best options on a tight budget are:
- Stage 1: Mid-muffler delete
- Stage 2: Mid-muffler delete and switch out resonator with a Magnaflow
- Stage 3: Mid-muffler delete and switch out resonator with a Dynomax
- Stage 4: Mid-muffler and resonator delete

All of these are rather simple changes that wont cost much. I did the same as VI Massive soon after buying mine (Stage 3), sounds great!
