Engine oil cooler?

hey guys,
I'm contemplating buying and installing an oil cooler next time i do my oil change,
any thoughts? (i did search and came up with nothing, tons of tranny cooler threads but no engine oil coolers)

i am supercharged, and as far as cooling goes, i've done the tb coolant bypass, outlaw im spacer, half the ultimate cooling mod (couldn't get driver side cowl off ) and of course meth/water injection.

this is the kit i'm thinking about getting
http://www.mishimoto.com/mishimoto-u...ooler-kit.html

mishimoto also has a larger one but don't know what i should get yet

oh and I live in southern california and travel to las vegas about 5 times a year so my car will occasionally see some hot temps

Look for my oil cooler thread. I have a very sweet setup going, not too expensive and works great.

The kit you are looking at is too expensive and looks preassembled which is no good.

i did find them (the mishimoto) on ebay and amazon for under $200 bucks shipped so i wouldn't be paying the $270.

found the earl's cooler that you're using selling for around $125, but i would still have to buy AN lines and the adapter to hook it up at the filter. so wouldn't i end up paying the same amount if not more for a setup similar to yours?

what are the cons to running a pre-assembled kit? hoses might not be long enough?

Yes, with a pre assembled kit, the hose are already cut to whatever size they decided. It might be too long or too short for what you need. My oil cooler is also much larger than the kit shown and the extra money is worth it for the increased cooling.
