I called Ultrarev before ordering mine to be 100% sure it was in stock and it was. Also got my tracking number within minutes. Ordered mine a week and a day ago now. Hopefully it will come in soon.

UNBIASED REVIEW OF DC SPORTS CAI:

PROS:
Amazing sound, I'm in love with it. I get in trouble by neighbors gassing it to 3k rpm in a low gear. From 3k-redline the sound is extremely audible, and sounds fantastic inside and outside the car. (I have the stock OEM catback exhaust with an RV6-V3 Jpipe.)
The car feels the same after 3k rpms, but you feel faster because of the added sound.

CONS:
The material of the tubing is cheap, easily bendable, and delicate to scrates. From idle to 3k RPM, the car feels a tad slower. It also has a whistling sound at low throttle (as all CAI's do), and can get annoying with the windows rolled down. When you turn the car off, the intake farts (as all CAI's do, [funny imo]). Also I had some bumper fitment issues (the filter was hitting the bumper) and I was almost unable to fit the bumper back on. I had to bend the tube ever so slightly and force it a little harder onto the throttle body.

Overall, my satisfaction is a 7/10;for 126$, you cant go wrong with the price. I'm very happy with the sound, but now I have to worry about smog check, and installing the oem intake will be a pain in the ass. The performance is minimal, but if you want some sound, get this intake.

*SanDiegoDrive's video was extremely helpful, until the hose lines part. Coupled with poor video quality, and very undetailed instructions from DC Sports, I made a terrible mistake. I ended up hooking up the gas vapor hose line to the coolant line, and I almost killed my engine. Be very careful on the hose replacement/install.

your welcome

nrb2005tl I agree with you, the filter should have been designed to go up about 1/2 more. That was the problem I had as well (the filter hitting the bumper).

Got mine in 2 days ago and installed it last night. Very satisfied with this product being only $126 shipped. Mine is the same way with the filter. Still managed to put the bumper back just had to use a little more force. Overall 100% happy with it.

Only $121.40 plus free shipping. I'm thinking about jumping on this. From what I read, only one person had trouble with shipping. Knock on wood that doesn't happen and that it is in stock!

i'm hoping so too...
I got the order received confirmation email, but not that it shipped yet.
Just called, I ordered on 3/29 and they said that they can't confirm if it shipped yet because it would be coming from their California warehouse and they aren't open yet. The guy told me he'll send me an email with an update later today.

I'm not in a rush and for that price, I don't mind being patient.

Ok y'allz...email from the website. I cancelled my order. I will reorder it next month, worst case. But I think I'm going to take Sean (veggiemonster) advice and try and make something for myself.

Jeremy,

I just spoke to my warehouse and they informed that these are actually backordered with an eta of 5/7. I apologize for this delay and any inconvenience it may have caused you. If you do not wish to wait, I can cancel your order and issue a full refund. Please let me know how you would like to move forward.

Thanks for the info. It seems like good and bad. Great price but slow service. I'm still on the fence. I also want to save up for some coilovers. Maybe this is a sign to keep saving...lol.

Never bolted mine down with the bracket . I just used some heavy/thick foam around the opening to protect the wires and to keep it from scratchin or making dents and i havent had any issues with it at all .

Im not using the "Vibra-mount" that is supplied with the intake. When I tried to use it, it pushed the filter out against the bumper . So I never put it on . Needless to say , my intake is pretty sturdy and not going anywhere. I've checked it multiple times and nothing .

I'm really thinking of making a PVC short ram wrapped in insulation for this car.

Why not just buy the DC CAI ? I got mine for $120 shipped

Or just use the stock air box and filter and use the oem piping for the "icebox intake " ?

Well, I did buy this one, but ended up getting a refund since it was backordered...
After running through some deep puddles, I was trying to get away from a CAI.

I have what you're suggesting in the 2nd sentence...hacked up the oem piping and have an AEM dryflow attached. Maybe I should leave well enough alone.

Aaahhhh ok . What you could do is extend the oem piping to the front bumper and put the filter back up in the airbox or just leave well enough alone .

I'm going to advise you to reconsider using that mount.
Here's what happens when you don't.

NOT USING THE MOUNT VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY.
I had no clue the bracket even broke off. I just happened to be taking off my bumper to do some work on my headlights when I noticed it. Luckily I didn't suck up any dirt or bugs into the engine.

I'm probably going to try what you said, DC sports didn't think this design through. The filter is crunched up against the bumper and the fog lights.

Yea just leave it unbolted and wrap the opening with foam . The type of foam i used , is used to wrap around water heater pipes , so its circular like a tube and has a slit in the middle of it .

Wow...that certainly stinks...I think the design is fine, but they didn't take into account how much our motors move under load, which might be the problem. Worst case, you could hack it off a foot higher and make a short ram out of it.

Maybe if they made the bends a little tighter the mount migh work better.

Yea unless you got some solid mounts , i think its pointless to bolt it down for the very reason above ! Thats part of the reason why i left t unbolted plus with the filter on it pushed on the bumper and made it stick out. So thats why i wrapped the opening in foam and its pretty sturdy like that.
