Comptech exhaust on Type-S A-spec rear

Hi all, I hate to start a new thread but I wasn't able to find my answer anywhere

I have a 05 TL with a 2.5" comptech catback. I'm thinking of getting the A-Spec lip kit next for it and I really prefer the Type-S rear over the base. I know I'll have to cut my bumper and that's fine. What worries me is how my exhaust will look with a wider cutout in the bumper. Might look kind of silly, yes? Anyone got pics of a similar set up? Would changing the exhaust tips to quads be an easy/viable option?

IMO I dont like any single tipped exhausts on the rear type s aspec. That rear lip was pretty much designed to allow you to run quads. I searched google and couldnt find any pics. Im sure you could buy new tips tho and weld them up. you could always sell your comptech exhaust on here and buy a new quad tip exhaust unless you like the sound and performance from the comptech.

^ Agree

However, try it first and see if you like it. If not, then do what Zach suggested and weld some quad tips.

Thanks guys.. I'm probably sticking with my catback. I really like its tone. Any recommendation for what quad tips I can get to weld onto it? I might have to suck it up and just buy a base rear lip.

^ thats correct but I believe they are out of stock of the 3.5" quad tips that fit the type s aspec lip perfect.

Thanks everyone! I actually found a pic of what it looks like in this thread.

Not bad actually.. I think I'll go for it. And if I ever get bored of the look I can always just buy the quad tips you guys mentioned.

Yeah I won't be hacking the exhaust. At least for now. Already ordered my lip kit so it's on the way. I'll take some pics and post them up once I get it installed
