At least from the sound of those videos I would have to rate that exhaust tone as the best I have ever heard from this motor. Excellent

sounds good but seems like there is probably a significant amount of drone in the cabin. The hfpcds make it that much louder. Its def the most aggressive sounding exhaust. I would like to compare it with an xlr8 v2

There was no drone with just the HFPC's and the J-pipe... but as soon as I installed the exhaust... lookout Lots of drone In a way, I knew that there would be because I was removing the resonator on the stock exhaust, but I think that I will get use to it... maybe... From the outside I really do like the sound of the car. I guess that I will just have to wait a little while and see how the new parts break in.

Fixed.... I didn't realize that I posted the same video twice... Sorry about that

My father asked if he could do a couple of runs with my car... He came back with a huge smile on his face. He loved the noise and the power!!!

yeah... I would hate me too. I have to say though that these products were well worth the wait. I am in the middle of a nice road trip and the sounds and power are definately growing on me. It really is a beautiful thing.

Richie, how do you like the final product, sound, and power produced by your products? Where you expectations met?

I'm sure that someone will end up parting out at some time and then there will be a few of these up for sale... The only thing that I wonder is if members will be selling these for the same price they brougt them for... If not more... Supply and demand... Very limited supply with very high demand. I'll definately be keeping mine for as long as I have my TL.

Sounds even better in person.... If anybody wants to hear the note in person then PM me and if you are anywhere around the Hudson Valley, I would be willing to meet up. I was very nervous to change my exhaust set-up at first and I know that if I experienced the sounds and power first hand I probably would have changed things up sooner...

Welcome to the world of aftermarket exhausts my friend. When I first got my ATLP the drone was unbearable for me. Headaches, nausea. Anyway, after a month or so, it's not too bad, and I like it.

However I do feel bad for my passengers.

Headaches/nausea from the ATLP exhaust alone? No offense, but that combo probably has MINIMAL drone out of most exhaust combos. Especially with the Jpipe as well. I'd stay far away from any other exhaust mod if you're experiencing these side effects from just an exhaust. Maybe some balls are in order Jk.

LOL @ "maybe some balls are in order" But OP, that exhaust sounds fucking awesome. Too bad it drones cause outside of the car it sounds heavenly. Maybe adding a resonator to each side of the exhaust will help with drone and not kill your beautiful exhaust tone too much

I don't feel nauseas or get a headache but I do feel bad for my passengers The only time that the drone gets close to unbearable is while I am driving up a slow or a long incline. Other then that the exhaust is pretty

I agree... overall the drone is not that bad considering some of the other setups that I have heard. Overall I am happy and even more happy that I decided to go with the HFPC's instead of the PCD's.

Anyway I'm ok with it now. It's just yesterday I had to explain to a pregnant woman sitting in the back of my car why my luxury vehicle sounds like this.

ME: "So ya, i did it for performance... "

Lady: "But the BMW M3 is faster and not as loud"

ME: *Steps on the gas* "WHAT?!"

Morrissey25, how far are you from the city? I'm in Va right now but if your close I dunno if you want to but maybe one of the times I come up I can meet up and do a sound with the same camera on the same road with my car which is stock for that sound. Maybe even do your car and my car in the same video to give people a sound difference between the full RV6 exhaust and stock. I think it would be a better comparison being taken on the same camera since all camera mic's are different.

I live just about an hour north of Manhattan and I would be game to meet up. That road is on the Stewart Airport grounds and it is a pretty safe and quiet road to take video on

Seeing that you have the complete Richies setup i wonder if you get any smell from the highflow cats? Before I installed PCD i had the v3jpipe and midmuffler delete which also eliminated the third cat. Right after i smelled it a little bit, not so much when the car is warmed up but u could still smell the difference. Now having the PCD installed the smell is really strong, i dont mind the smell actually but is very hard to breathe around it . So i dont know if i made the right choice. I was thinking since i already removed the third cat and it smelled a little then by doing HFC or PCD i would just ephasize the smell anyhow, so how much difference there is i dont know. Im not sure if its worth converting to hfc just because of the smell or not ?? The sound i actually like....its freaking loud but thank god there is no drone cause that i cant stand. When cruising it sounds like a g35 almost.

Alright, sounds good. I know I will be coming up at the end of the month for a few days but the weekend I will be busy all weekend so pretty much would be able to meet anytime on wednesday (June29) or early afternoon sunday(July3). Not really sure how your work schedule is so don't really know if you will be able to meet up then, but let me know. If not hopefully I will be going back up not too much after that for another weekend and do it during the weekend.

When I installed the j-pipe there was a feint smell for a few days... same thing with the HFPC's. After a few hours of driving, there was/is no smell. The fear of smelling the exhaust was one of my main concerns at first which is why I never installed my V2 PCD. For me, I am super happy that I decided to go with the HFPC.
I guess the power and sound is the trade off for the smell. Either way, it seems like you're happy

On a side note... I was driving home behind a Nissan GTR and my girl said that my car sounded like the GTR. Even though I know that it doesn't, it made me smile because she thought that they sounded the same...

Most people that are installing any form of PCD's are afraid of rasp and with Richie's HFPC's there is none. I'm going for a drive now to really take a good listen.
Hi guys-

One thing I'm curious about - on an '08 TL 3.2 - if you have the V3 j-pipe and the rest of your exhaust is stock - if you added the RV6 high flow cats would you notice A) a power increase and B) an exhaust note/growl increase?

Would love to know these two answers.
