If your looking for cheap look into doing "stage" mods
I just deleted my mid muffler the other day.
Made the exhaust sound much better..
Ppl in here also delete the 3rd cat (like me very soon)
And replacing the resonator with a magnaflow or dynamax one

how cheap is your cheap....different people different budget

saw off your mid muflers?..DIY?..reweld a straight pipe?

 

Ubolt everything including the pcats. Cheap and ginormous gains. :p

 

By cheap do you mean $50 or $500. Considering the catbacks for these cars are upwards of $1000 either is "cheap". I spent about $40 for a Dynomax res, a few feet of pipe, and a threw a friend a few bucks to weld it up. Rear mufflers deleted and a different res and the car sounds really nice. I wouldn't call it deep cause it's a Honda but it's not tinny like a fart can. My Impala with headers and Magnaflows is deep, maybe my TL is deep for a TL but it can't compare to something that shakes my house when I start it in the garage. I'm still half curious to hear a TL with a chambered muffler like a Spintech or Flowmaster (I hate slowmasters).
