So here I am looking to put a CAI or short RAM into my TL when I come across this website: http://www.tprmag.com/issue/1/sr-results.shtml

I know you guys like the look and sound of these things (and I don't begrudge any of you for it), but for the life of me I can't justify the time and money put one of these things on to shave 1/3 of a second and 1.5 mph over a quarter mile.

Since you're quoting some decreases in time and some gains in mph, I'll assume you like to race your car (like on a track for time). If I assume correctly, then you should know what a MONSTER gain 1/3 of a second is and how many car lengths that would be against an opponent at such speeds. But everyone has a price threshold for performance per dollar for modifications, to each his own. Just my humble

If I recall correctly from my racing days of the late 60's/early 70's, each 1/10th of a second equated to about one car length. So the quote here got about 3 car lengths at the end of the quarter mile.

Yes sir, I will back you up on that. One tenth of a second equals one car length, which equals a SOLID WIN in drag racing !!!!!
