So it was pretty cold in Montreal today (-34ēC) and I noticed the intake was a little louder than usual. It had a nice deep growl to it under light throttle and when you floored it, let me just say it was nice. Why is it that it is louder when it's cold out?

just taking a guess, but i'm thinking it has to do w/ sucking in more air. Colder air - more condensed, so thus, the CAI can suck in more air.

I really won't know for sure until the weather warms up. I put it on my CAI the same time I put on my thermal spacers. It does feel more responsive even after driving the car for a while. It feels like driving your car after a cold start up, but it's all the time now!
