This shows where the brackets for the holes is located on the 6MT knuckle.

Now for the 6MT, it's almost possible to run anything you want. You will need a thicker bracket, or some type of spacer to make it work. I thought about going this route yesterday, but didn't want to risk it.

If you're looking into getting the 6piston kit, go ahead and get it. I'm positive you can make it work.

It may be me, thought the dealer said 16" vs. 17"... basically the Brembo rotored cars are an inch larger in diameter than the normal calipers.

Rotors are 11.xx" vs 12.xx"
Rims are 17" for the base model.

I'm getting ready to try this swap, buying the new knuckles, bearings and after market rotors, will let everyone know what happens and a parts list once I make it work!

Good luck man.

The nut on the end of the axle is a 36mm fatboy.

You will have to cut the knuckle to make the brembos fit.

Did anyone solve the problem with the knuckle?

I've the same problem, but i'm here in Germany. I've a 05 AT TL and the Type-S Brembo's with Type-S Rotors and Pads.

i personally did the swap, and you WILL need the knuckles. If you get really lucky then you might be able to save the bearing without having to seperate it from the hub, you will also need the flex-hoses with the little steel line that goes into the calipers.backing plates and rotors are different(11.8"-AT,12.2"-MT).

if the ABS sensors are siezed to the knuckles then you are gonna have to get new ones(i had to get new ones). dont forget the shims that go between the calipers and the knuckles. I had Hawk HPS pads in the calipers i got and they have been pretty good. no noise or squeal.

Oh, it don't sounds good for me. I belive, i'll take porsche calipers on the TL rotors. It's cheaper for me. I don't know, how much i have to pay for knuckles.

The knuckles off the 5AT TL had to be swapped onto the 6MT TL to make it possible.

So the BBK's from the TSX's are a direct bolt on for the 5AT TL?

Would you happen to know about the RSX BBk's and if it would fit the TL? THe product number's are like 1 # away and i am wondering..........

Thnx Eric.

From my 1-2 hour research yesterday night.. I found that these 3 cars can fit the BBK.

From the Brembo GT BBK kit,.
- 2004 - 2006 HONDA ACCORD V6 COUPE
- 04+ Acura TSX
-04-06 A/T Acura TL

These 2 supposedly fit our cars. I was also noticing soemone who said that their Endless BBK on their RSX WIll fit on a TSX, all you need to change are the brackets, so since that being said, does this mean that this RSX BBK will fit the TL/TSX?

The RSX BBK comes with the bracket that suppsoedly fits on on AP1/AP2, DC5, EP3

I just need a conformation!!!!

TIA guys.

How much you have to pay in US for the knuckles? If i order here in Germany i have to pay 658 EUR for both ( about $850).

John, you can look 'em up here:

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...omp=List%20All

Most dealers charge the retail price; the parts depot locations charge the discounted price plus shipping.

I've seen it's cheaper to buy them in US and ship to Germany. So i can get both with bearings for about $450 shipped.

Any kit intended for a TSX will fit the 5AT base model 3rd gen Acura TL.
