Perhaps out of all the 3rd gen TL's and 1st gen TSX, maybe 2% actually bought their vehicles new with comtech performance items added. True story, my TL was actually bought from a dealership (In NJ) that offered the Comptech performance parts. The original owner was ready to pull the trigger on a blower but never did. I'm friends with the guy on Facebook and he's still shocked I have the car still and it's in flawless condition (plus boosted). He offered to buy it back a few times, but I keep saying No
No No, not today. Lmao.

Seriously though,

You can google when Comptech teamed up with Acura (Some dealerships) and what they offered.
You basically answered my question for me. No factory options. Dealers offered aftermarket Comptech Add-Ons (Intake "Icebox", Exhaust, Supercharger)

So, again, no factory boosted applications.....

K23A1 RDX doesn't count. We're talking about the 3G TL

Oi...

Your absolutely right OsK! Glad you split that hair for us!

I'm about to modify all the RDX 410cc injectors. Ill go get the I/M gasket and remove the I/M to get near the fuel rail.

I'm following this thread to a T. Anyone know another thread I can leech info from?

Like I said when I pointed you to this thread, it was only for the connector repinning, it's a 2nd gen thread.

Before you start cutting and grinding on the injectors, try the fit on the rails and runners first. I didn't have to do anything and I don't think I ever read anyone else doing anything except lube up the orings and pop them in.

I still have my RDX injectors, let me find them and I'll post a pic.

Thank you for the post. I'm currently in my garage with dremel in hand(goggles on) and thought, "Lets check the build thread first".

Doing research on Intake manifold removal. Can I reuse any of my OEM gaskets when removing plenum and I/M to gain access to the fuel rails?

I've reused all the metal gaskets several times. Just clean them up before reinstall.

Are the plenum cover gasket and the I/M gaskets both metal?

Perfect! No need to spend $89 for the set. This makes the injector install easier.

Installed used OEM ASM type S rear bumper for the quad ATLP.

Throttle body coolant bypass: looped the line. Used another hose to loop the inlet/outlet coolant line to the TB. Used third hose to loop the metal tube connected to the vacuum tube going to the intake.

No extra parts needed to achieve. Only Neednose pliers for clamps. Did this to lower intake temps after s/C install.

It may be, but if it gets my intake temps a couple degrees cooler after boostering then I'm happy for it.

Hey fellas, what are the torque specs for plenum and I/M manifold?

I'm reading to tighten the I/M to 16 lbs and the plenum to 9lbs. is this correct?

Thank you!

My torque wrench starts at 10lbs. The plenum spec is 8.8lbs. Would there be an adverse affect to overtorqueing to 10lbs?

I just remembered I have the haines manual.. Going to study that so I'm not caught with my pants down on injector D-Day.

Those cover bolts are pretty soft....I broke a couple my first time then invested in torque wrenches and spare bolts.

Why does that paper with installation tips repeatedly say precat deletes when you have HFPCs? Is it possible they sent you the wrong paper? The paper that came with mine says HFPCs and nowhere mentions pcd. It also nowhere mentions anything about wrapping them with exhaust wrap.

I also don't see why they cant be wrapped if they can be ceramic coated....

There are a few places locally I'm getting quotes on. Don't want to ship them out after they just came in.

Your right, it is. Ill see if anyone can match the quality locally. If not, this is a good option and price point.

I've completed the battery relocation to the trunk.

RV6 HFPCs should be finished getting black ceramic coating in the next five days.

Injectors go in this Saturday. HFPC on Sunday, if I get them back in time.

Purchased OEM side skirts today on eBay for $220 shipped, completing the type-S kit. Wish ATLP still offered single tip exhausts.

Does the ECU use the duty cycle numbers to read gauge the MPG?

I found the that my engine bay temps are considerably lower than they were before installing the injectors and getting a new tune from DomGSR.

RV6 HFPC are ready for pick up this Monday. Next Sunday is the install day.

that would be my guess since duty cycle is dictated by injector pulse width. and that is dictated by load and rpm

I plan to reseal the S/C next weekend. The loctite you suggested is waiting in the garage.

Ordered 10qt of Redline High Temp ATF and x2 bottles AC Delco GM Supercharger oil today.

I'm picking up my HFPCs from the ceramic coating shop tomorrow, will post pics.
