Best New Rotors?

so..my rotors are messed up and my brake pads are pretty worn. thinking about getting some drilled/slotted rotors but not sure which brand to go with. I do a lot of driving daily, mixed between highway and city. tend to speed a lot so there's lots of heavy braking. i'm currently on the stock brembo setup and would like to find something that won't get warped the way my pads have. any suggestions? thanks

Stop over-tightening your lugs. 80 lb-ft, that's the ticket.

Did you want just front rotors or front and rear rotors? Pads?

how do the rotora drilled & slotted compare to the stoptech drilled & slotted and the powerslot mentioned in the above post? i like the look of drilled & slotted better but won't want to get it if it won't hold up as well. i've read that some people have problems with cracking around the drilled holes. any inputs on this?

^usually, cheaper drilled rotors will crack.

powerslot and stoptech i believe are the same company.

I didnt like the look of the drilled, so I just opted for slotted rotors.

If the drilling and slotting is done properly you will be fine. Powerslot/STOPTECH are sister companies; they do the machining properly. Therefore you do not need to worry about the discs cracking. Here is the link to the drilled/slotted rotor package:

i ordered some drilled and slotted stop tech from excelerate combined with oem brembo brake pads and have been very satisfied with braking performance. IMO it stops way better than stock from the rotors not heating up as fast.

Hey, I'm on the Excelerate website but I don't see prices. I'm stuck between these two and would like to get pricing for both:

http://store.excelerateperformance.c...d/g-55257.aspx

http://store.excelerateperformance.c...d/g-51737.aspx

I would like to replace both front and rear rotors plus pads for a 2008 Acura TL type S. Would the vendor please pm me with a price quote plus a quote for shipping to zip code 77083? Thanks

If you want to replace both the front and rear rotors and pads use the link we gave you above. It includes all 4 rotors and pads.

http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-338784.aspx

Add to cart and put in your zip code for a shipping quote. I checked for your zip code and shipping was $44.

I set my torque wrench to 90 lb-ft, and that should be fine too. Should just go out and buy the blank brembos.

Just go with Excelerate's link. I know lots of people on here use them and love them; also you'll save some money for other upgrades..... All his products seem to be top quality. S
