Best Intake for '06 Acura TL??

hey i was wondering of anyone knows what would be the best intake for my 06 TL..ive heard KnN is pretty good. Ive looked up the AEM V2 intake so i most likely going for that. Is it easy installment?I wouldnt have to move things around since the new intake is longer than the stock one.

You've been a member way to long to ask this. You have to know how to search or where to look.

the after market intakes are uber expensive for very little gains.
the Acura TL's Stock intake is a semi cold air induction system. The Honda engineers designed the stock intake to be a pretty good system. in other words, they did not leave any HP on the table.
thus why going to an aftermarket intake doesnt provide any decent gains.

to see gains, you would have to upgrade the intake manifold to the 3.7 SHAWD and its respected throttle body. then finally, add a 4 inch custom intake.

this will net you the best gains.

Dont even bother grabbing the aem v2 for 300 dollars. waste of money

Woooo good laugh with that copy pasta. That's Justin and vlad. I needed that laugh.
I have the aem v2 intake. It's not hard to install at all. If I could get my money back I would put it to pre cat deletes. That maybe down the line get another intake. Intake sounds cool and all and I felt little gains compared to what pcd can do. Or like Justin said. 3.7L manifold bigger throttle body and 4" intake instead of aem v2

But if your going to get it anyways, it's cool I have it and I don't have any complaints yet, sounds good.

Honestly stock is probably best unless you like the noise. Even then you can delete the resonator part under the headlight and get a little noise. I bought a cheapie eBay intake for $75, the tube is basically identical to any of the name brand ones that cost $300 but probably is a crappier filter. I keep saying I'm gonna replace the filter, just haven't gotten around to it. You're not gonna gain any power from just a CAI. I just think the silver tube looks better than a black box under the hood, I stripped out all the plastic I could from the engine bay.

Thoughts on wouldnt it be the cheapest to get a shop to bend some chrome piping for you and stick a K&n cone on the end? instead of basically paying $200 for the same chrome pipe with just the AEM sticker on it.

I paid more for my AEM dry flow filter than the pipe

As other members have said a custom setup will be the best as far as price and sound go as for Hp gain there is none.

The most popular intake we have seen for the 3G TL is the AEM V2. If you don't want to go the custom route and want a plug and play setup with the largest piping of a production intake I'd recommend it.
