auto to manual conversion

have an auto, and I wish more than anything that I have gotten a manual. I ended up listening to everyone else but myself before buying this car and I end up not happy. I want to know if there is a auto to manual conversion. If anyone has experience or knows anything about this please reply. Thanks

This topic was beat to death w/ the CL-S guys a few years ago when the manual CL-S came out. the overall concensus was that 1) there is no conversion method available (as there is w/ various cars, such as the Nissan Maxima SE), and 2) it's cheaper to sell your car, and purchase a used TL 6MT (if you can find one).

Trade it in for a manual. If you start changing stuff around, you're going to end up with more problems down the road. Not only that, you get the Brembo setup.

Having owned a '93 Mazda RX7, Auto-to-Manual conversions were pretty common and it turns out with the right aptitude for the work not a bad deal. It required the transmissions, a new ECU and some good drilling skills.

But that was for a car back in '93. With the newer cars it just isn't that easy. I would echo the other sentiments expressed here and say that if you really want a 6MT, then trade your car in for it.

You don't want do go through the hassle of attempting a auto-to-manual conversion and get stuck with a car that is neither.

Regards

Another vote for trade in. You'll be happy you did...as opposed to attempting a conversion.
