ACTROS acheived 320whp with the HBP and J-Pipe. MugenR, is at 300whp with just the HBP and NO j-pipe

so my assumption is atleast a 20whp gain for the s/c people.... thats an impressive mod for $400 !!
I do not have the HBP, I'm on the 4-5psi pulley that originally comes with the S/C kit.

I'll only get HBP if I can permanently cool (intercooler/aftercooler), new injectors, and a good tune.

Although it seems like a big jump, I try not to focus on the peaks/spikes...but rather on the overall increase throughout the entire curve. Usually those peaks/spikes contribute to that rugged power "feel" which is just that...a feel but not a power band that you can utilize. We tried to keep everything as interference free as possible to improve a consistent smooth pulse.

Just wanted to clear that up before people jump to conclusion and complain about not being able to feel that "30whp" peak-FEEL.

I believe bklynpanman was dynoed at 321whp with the regular pulley as well. he was a 6MT, he did NOT have HBP or custom J-pipe.

againstallodds1 was getting 294-296whp with a 5AT with almost everything I have.

btw, aznbo187, if we put in the deposit, we do we pay the rest? (time frame) I would love to get on the list, but won't really have funds for a couple weeks for the entire thing.

thanks

I need to ask, and sorry if someone asked before, does the J-pipe retain the 3rd car or is it longer and removes the 3rd cat? I forgot what the final vote was.

What if I wanted to buy this at a later time and couldn't get the deposit in now, is that possible or is this a limited time only?

I was under the impression that there was going to be an option to retain third cat or not. I was looking to have the third cat deleted with a test pipe.

I beleive that is what Mike had in mind as well...not quite sure, I saw the actual product and there was no 3rd cat, just a flex pipe....only Mike himself can confirm this

This retains the 3rd cat, although I'm working on a test pipe, and a high-flow cat option.

you can always look into the Megan 03+ Accord V6 Test pipe... cheap... $90~, fits perfectly and eliminates the 3rd

gains are not promised though, and you may get some unwanted noises or even power lose, especially if you are using a non-resonated exhaust system

I don't know if you saw my question up top, kinda got buried in all the posts.

But, if we make the 50 dollar deposit now, when will we be making the final payment? If it's in 2 weeks or more from now, then that works for me.

thanks,
-Andrew

Anyone else in Cali realize you had to pay sales tax? Mike are we going to have to pay $399 shipped, or $399 + taxes shipped? That would bring us Cali members up to $440...........would really suck

Unfortunately, yes there will be taxes. The regular MSRP pricing is at $399, and I'm coming out of my own pocket covering for the shipping fee's for the forum members.

Stromung Exhaust Engineering is the current manufacturer. Regardless of who designs or produces it, I'll always make sure the quality is up to par for my own standards and hopefully above and beyond yours.

Sweet mike... Lovin it just like the ATLP Exhuast system... People think i am a 350z or G35 when pulling away lol and i love the sound... Stromung Engineering + Mike = Qaulity So its possible your trying to get everything done in 1 big batch that would be pretty kewl... I also can't wait for a TL-S Dyno....

I'm really tempted to go with this but I have a question first. Does anyone know if this part will hamper smog checks in California? Are there any smog issues with the Accord guys modding this part? I know my car is smog exempt until 2009 but when I need to smog, will this affect the visual inspection?

this does not hamper nor hinder smog, it is simply a bolt on piece, this is not part of the visual inspection
