ATLP Dual TL Exhaust for 2005 TL
yoo everybody what's good. i got a 2005 acura tl. so far i've only dropped an injen cold air intake into it which delivers a great sound and exceptional power increases.
I am looking for a good exhaust system to let my car breathe better and also gain some power. I've been in touch with a guy from ATLP and he says the ATLP Dual TL Exhaust, http://acuratlparts.com/products/11/ , is the choice for me. With this also, the ATLP J-Pipe, and ATLP Race pipe.
What are the benefits of making this modification onto the TL?
Will I have to modify my rear bumper which is still stock with no underbody spoiler?
Thanks

I have the dual exhaust along with the J-Pipe and Hi-Flow Cat from ATLP. The main benefits is a more free flowing exhaust which will you give a performance boost. I won't speculate on the total boost of swapping out all three parts but much more than your CAI upgrade. A secondary benefit to some is you get more of a Infiniti G37 exhaust note. This thing sounds sexy at WOT. It will be louder in the cabin so if you are opposed to that think twice. No rear bumper modification necessary. If you are in a big city see if there are members around you with the dual exhaust that you could come see and listen to in person.

I couldn't say how much louder as it has been too long since I removed the stock exhaust. When the first batch came out you had some people that thought it was too loud and others that loved the sound. That is why I suggested, if you can, find someone in your area with the exhaust already that is willing to show it off. I think the sexy exhaust note more than offsets the louder cabin noise.

If you have not reviewed the below thread be sure and check out Post # 566. Then on page 24 you can start to see everyone's thoughts after they receive the first batch.
