ARP Head Studs

Does anyone know if we can install/remove heads with head studs installed and the engine still in the car?

Absolutely you can. It's definitely tighter clearances at the rear, but you can indeed pull the head off with the studs still in the block.

Sweet, thanks B.

Thought I was done but now that I am driving it more I am encouraged to do more, so I am going to go to the next step. Larger injectors, fuel return and head studs.

Do you know what the ARP part number is for the right studs and nuts?

Glad to hear you're not giving up on it.

Since ARP doesn't make a "kit" for the J32, I believe what you need is two H23 stud kits (part #: ARP-208-4307). What I did was call P2R and have them send me what I needed.

I did see that Heeltoe is starting to piece them together now and sell them as a set (https://www.heeltoeauto.com/fastline...e-j32-j35.html).

If you're considering doing any head work let me know. I have a set of fully P&P'd heads that I had Paul do for me a while back just sitting in the garage. They need to be cleaned and have the valve seats cut. I'll make you a hell of a deal.
