tried a search but i think v2 is too short of a term to search. does the base model TL intake fit the type-s? i went on aem's site with no luck....just see V1's

Yes the base and Type-S V2 CAI are the same. Here's a link from heeltoeauto's website....

The intake is actually designed for the 2006 V6 Accord, it's just that 3GTL owners some how found it to fit the TL perfectly (well, maybe because it's the same car underneath all the badging)

Look it up on AEM's site under 2006 Accord V6. You will find it there

excelerate thanks for the heads up just placed an order through you this morning. changed my mind last minute and ordered the injen instead along with a ct short shifter. i had an injen in my 06 si and the quality of the intake was awesome. hoping for the same in this one.

does the V2 come in any other colors besides the graphite? Just ordered from AEM directly focusing on the blue color but I got a V1.

Nope the V2 only comes in that gray color. Actually removing the stock silencer box made the same sound as my V2 wot. Other than that, no extra hp's on the but dyno.

i just painted my v2 the same color as my rv6 strut bar, candy red.

Got it at amazon.com, came gunmetal color. I took off the AEMV2 decal.

For future reference, research before you buy. Last thing you want is to be stuck with a part that doesnt fit.

Yes it will fit. Majority of the parts (04-08 base/type-s) are interchangeable.

Just be aware the v2 is pretty loud, really surprised me first time I got on it...and it made my son want to get one for his 5th gen Prelude.

When you aren't giving it at least half throttle or getting into VTEC mode, its pretty quiet.
