Is this the aem v2 intake you guys are talking about?

Is there a better place to buy it?

That's where I got mine. 3rd time I've ordered from XLR8 (v2 J-pipe and DC Sport FSB also) and like usual, lower prices than the competition and fast shipping even using the free shipping option.

I was just trying to find out if that was the right aem v2 cold air intake that everyone is talking about because it is slightly cheaper.

Yeah I believe that's the one, P/N AEM 24-6110C.

Try eBay before you buy.

I'm not sure where this idea that intakes don't make power keeps coming from because it isn't true. Look at K&N's dyno of their intake:

www.knfilters.com/dynocharts/69-0021_dyno.pdf

Here's another dyno done by an AZ member of a cold air intake on a 3G TL:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/aem-intake-dyno-good-gains-798138/

There's another dyno floating of a 3G TL making 20-25 whp after an AEM CAI and catback exhaust install. We all know a catback exhaust doesn't generate 20 whp.

If you realize that most of it is for looks and cleaning up the engine bay, buy the v2 or the v1, cause you are not even gonna feel the hp gain if all. I knew that and i am a V2 owner, nice sound, mean at WOT, and burps when you shut off the car

I have a 07 Acura TL Type S 6Speed and i just installed the V2 and it was worth the money my exhaust sounds deeper which i love more now. Im just wondering if i should take off the plastic shield to get more air or leave it alone?
