Its a good idea, it repels water. If your as paranoid as I am then get it(i have one on there). The size I dont remember cause I got the wrong one the first time. Call a Injen sales rep and ask what the size is for the injen CAI. It should fit but no guarantee. It is true though if you get the intake submerged in water its still gonna suck water in. So if you live in places that has alot of rain dont even bother getting a CAI.

Did some research and found the right one is the Medium Hydro Shield

that sheild will for the most part repell water if it's splashed on it, but as stated if it's submerged it won't stop it from the filter soaking up water. It will also help in keeping finer particles from getting caught in the web of the filter. But all in all it's a good investment to prolong the life of the filter.
