I put my new intake on the other night. I'm not too mechanically inclined, but I got the job accomplished. A couple things I noticed that I'm wondering if the rest of you with an intake have niticed as well;
1. I hear the throaty growl at about 3500rpms and up, but it is VERY deep, and almost sounds like is bogging down. But I see no power loss.
2. I can hear the intake sucking air in when it is revved up but should I be able to feel the air being sucked through the front bumper vent? With as loud as it is, it seem like I should be able to feel air being sucked up as I put my hand over the vent, but I don't.
3. I recently bought the car, but I have never noticed the hard starting that other complain of before I installed this intake. But since I installed the intake, sometimes the car has to crank a little bit longer before it will start. Not a big deal, but is this normal.
I'd appreciate any input anyone can offer.

1. normal to sound deep and throaty, most sound should occur at 4950 rpm when vtec engages
2. you wont feel it by the bumper sucking air, it is baffled before the vent so that puddles and stuff wont hit the inlet tube. Wait till a really cold morning, it will sound like a hoover vacuum, its awesome
3. I have never persanllly heard of hard starting and never had that problem with mine. Consider a voltage grounding kit if you would lke to reduce the cranking time starting and smooth out the car a little.
