5AT to 6MT parts list
#41
didnt buy them yet but im going too. all the part numbers that are listed will be new parts. everything listed in that post without part numbers are used parts already purchased.
imo its worth it to spend some extra money on new clutch/slave cylinders, lines, trans mounts and shifter cables. why risk getting leaking resorviors and worn mounts/cables.
im still looking for used engine harnesses though

Libert--- turns out we do need the two transmission mounts to complete the swap. I bought a REVO rsx gear box from eBay yesterday. It already had 40 percent throw reduction in gearing.
Haven't thought about getting the shifter bushings since the ones I have look like theyve barley been used.
This swap is going to be worth it for sure thoo! I should be done in couple more days

I was referring to the ones that secure the transmission to the sub frame.
This is the shifter I picked up:

You doing the slave check valve removal also?

Is it a direct replacement?
How does it feel compared to stock?
Did you have the comptech SS on the stocker before this?

I installed the rsx shifter box and it happens to fit just fine. it feels fine except it felt a little tall for it to be a short throw at the beginning. my center console fits around it just fine but give me a couple of days to confirm if everything else such as the cup holders and side trims lines up just right.

I think all i am waiting on is little things such as the clutch line number 16 that goes from the master cylinder to number 17 (soft line)
if anyone has any advice on fitting the clutch pedal to the "supposedly" pre- existing dimples on the firewall which i can not seem to find, please let me know. There is a cable that runs thru the firewall which seems to be the perfect location to mount the clutch pedal but i just need someone to confirm it.

That picture was taken when the shifter box first arrived. currently, the manual shifter linkages are already installed in. wish me luck guys as I am fairly close to finishing this swap in the next week. stay tuned for more pics.

I didnt pull the black carpet yet but i am assuming the clutch pedal lines up right where that wiring harness runs thru the fire wall. If i am correct, where do i reroute the wiring harness from? I have been trying to figure this out for the last couple of days and its very frustrating lol

cant wait until this baby goes back into the bay.. all my clutch lines and mounts are already ready for pick up from the Acura dealer. All I am waiting on now is to figure out the mounting position of the clutch pedal.

The RSX will work? You sure that has enough length to actually do what the shifter does? Lol
And bert, I thought with that turbo that having an AT wasn't really a bad thing? :/

I just checked. I don't have any bundle going through the firewall anywhere around the pedals. That black bundle you see above the pedal mounts goes to the center of the car and enters the engine compartment behind the radio area.
You might be better off seeing if you can drill a hole nearby and just run it close to where it is now.

That wire bundle is definitely running from the fuse/relay box under the hood to the fuse/relay box under the driver side interior dash. I was thinking that it might have been rerouted and you just confirmed it lol thanks

but when your throw over 400lbs of tq through a stock honda trans it just has a melt down
just move that mess of wires over a little and drill a new hole. its only wires, then can bend and stretch a little bit lol

Yeah ill just move it now that i have some sort of confirmation from others. I wasn't to keen on moving that harness from the beginning but ill do it now that its necessary.

ran into possibly one of the last potential problems yesterday. well apparently once my whole clutch pedal installation was done, i realized that the clutch master cylinder was already compressed and had no more room for compression. this problem cant be solved with spacers either. either way.. the motor should be dropped in today and i guess ill be needing some more time to find the right pedal or the master cylinder. obw.. the clutch master cylinder was picked up from a manual CL from a salvage yard. the pedal was given to me by the person who sold me the entire engine+transmission.
