3G TL Ebay Turbo Kit $550???

Ok i just purchased a trunk lip spoiler for my TL on ebay and came across this!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...33074126311789

its a turbo kit for the 3g tl i just wanted to get some feed back from everyone telling what yall think. Do yall really think its that easy that ebay can actually have a kit for us? I know it says that you will need a couple of extra things but i just think this seller is pretty brave just for listing this item. well everyone welcome to chime in let me know what yall think.......
[IMG]file:///C:/Users/M2010/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.png[/IMG] idk when the ebay page will expire but saved the pic just dont know how to post it maybe some can explain and i will or can email it...

Who know's from what the seller is saying how you need a custom this and and a custom that, it may actually cost ALOT more! Need an exhaust manifold? Downpipe? Parts are NOT bolt on? Yea....its def 2 good 2 be true bro....but kinda funny how there are 3 offers on it. Jus fyi OP in between the [IMG] tag you need to add the web address of the pic itself....lol took me a couple tries before I finally got it

* Not all parts are bolt-on. Universal piping kit will need to be custom modified at an exhaust shop to adjust for the correct bends. *

* Requires a down pipe which needs to be connected to existing exhaust. A custom adapter needs to be fabricated from a place such as an exhaust shop. *

* Other parts you need or should get is Turbo Manifold, Boost Controller, Turbo Timer, and Engine/Fuel Management System. *

After you get all this other stuff that is REQUIRED (except the turbo timer) your probably going to spend more money then the JandR kit.

The manifold piping is the most complex part of the whole kit. Not mention that all these components are more then likely cheap-ass Japanese parts

^^ very true. if you dont know what your doing, and you cant do most of the work yourself, it will end up costing you more in the long run. It will be a little difficult to use that type of intercooler, but it is possible, the piping provided, is probably usable, and would work sufficiently, it would just take some cutting and shaping and welding. The couplers and clamps would work fine. The turbo and wastegate, are cheap Chinese knockoffs, and with some critical parts like that, you want good parts, those are known to fall apart after some time.

So unless you have some fabrication ability, and you are willing to drop some money into some future parts, i would stay away.

whats that saying? if its too good to be true then it probably isnt?

if i were you id at least let someone else run it and see what happens first. pretty cheap for an acura turbo too.

You can't get a legit turbo for $550. The intercooler is waaaay undersized for the TL. Turbo is too. Piping is generic so you can use some of the bends but that's about it.

Really, there is nothing usable but the bends, clamps, and hoses. I wouldn't pay $550 for those items.

You get what you pay for in matters of a turbo kit. If you really want to turbo your TL speaking to a performance shop would be your best bet to get it done right since you obviously would not be doing this install on your own.

I'll bet our turbo alone cost more than this whole kit.

It does. Retail on that particular turbo is $1,500.

Then why start the thread? To get opinions on something you don't want to buy?

This thread is just like all the other non sense (e.g. turbo threads) that get started here in this subforum (except J & R). Closed.
